Oddball Heavy Equipment

There is a class of tractors referred to as "high crop" or "high clearance" tractors. Think of modern day spray-coupe type stuff. That one seems excessive, but I'd guess it is along those lines.
This is my guess as well. I know Deere offered high crop versions of 20 series tractors in the 60's and 70's, just from looking at parts/repair books. The pictures in those books made it look like maybe a 2' lift. The one above is obviously not factory with the chain drives, but probably some home brew version of a high crop.

Random internet pic of a high crop 3020:

I've seen manual die carts, but nothing that big. That's for moving fender dies and such, big shit that I want no part of.
I'm surprised it makes more sense to build specialty vehicles than it does to just build specialty carts or attachments to handle the dies.

I bet that thing is the cat's ass for gravel road maintenance.

That lil fucker would be handy for doing driveways an such. Alot of driveways just arent made for a grader:laughing: That thing would suck ass for doing road maintenance or anything else , gimme a real blade for that kinda work

Not really too short and too light. My 32,000# grader has a hard time cutting the gravel roads around here. I almost need to get a carbide point blade to put on it.

Would need a bigger bucket...

We use regular dirt buckets. Which feels like chineese water torture compare to a proper snow bucket, but whatever, paid by the hour.

At the airport, we had 16 yard buckets. 1 small scoop for a 10 wheeler, 3 for side dumps.

Sold. Did you buy it? If so where's the thread? :flipoff2:
Nope wasn’t me. Sent message and was read and no reply , tried the next morning and the same. Then saw the sold on the ad that evening . I kinda think it was already gone by the time we first saw it . Guy still hasn’t responded that it was sold.
