The next iteration of big weird bulldozers. Euclid tc-12, with twin Detroits.

For when one Detroit won't make you deaf enough.

What would be the use case for something like that? Too soft for a rubber tired loader, but you don't want to tear up the ground with a track loader?

Aaron Z
Something dense as fuck where you need the bite of the steel track in order to fill the bucket.

I was wondering the same. The tracks give some more flotation and traction for the load over front wheels, I guess? Maybe it was part of the quad track development process?

And to continue with the oddballs...

Ford 9N powered roller.

Maybe stability? That looks like pretty high reach, perhaps the longer tracks prevent tipping over?

There is a class of tractors referred to as "high crop" or "high clearance" tractors. Think of modern day spray-coupe type stuff. That one seems excessive, but I'd guess it is along those lines.

So it's just a flatbed that needs a crane to load/unload?

Says 55,000 lbs capacity. I'd like to see what's under the deck that can handle that much weight.

Probably stores them on a rack similar to this one:

From what I understand, it seems like those carts are preferred to a forklift for moving dies around because they're made specifically to support it the same way that it would if it were in the press, less chance of screwing it up in transport that way.
Is it, is it not, I'm sure someone on here has first-hand knowledge vs me reading up on it.

I've seen manual die carts, but nothing that big. That's for moving fender dies and such, big shit that I want no part of.
