I'm a "dog person" but . . . we currently have 0 dogs and 2 cats.

Not complaining, they're Egyptian Maus - the most dog-like cats I've ever met.
I think our cat may be one of those
Got spots and stripes , hair is different colored on the tips .
Loves playing with the dog .

Also has a little L shaped hook nub instead of a tail.

Well, we've been keeping Tiger Salamanders for many, many years. They just have the greatest smile : )

Lacie, she is a rescue I've had since 2015. The shelter figured she was about 1 when I got her. She's so sweet and intelligent, but very skiddish. I often wonder what happened to make her that way. She's the poster child of the best girl. Literally never has done anything wrong. Gets along with everyone and just wants to be included. Doesn't give much of a shit what she's doing as long as it's with me. This is gonna be a hard one to lose when she goes.

and the best dog i ever had, Tyson. from the college years.

towards the end of college my mom got sick, and Tyson instinctually would let us know before she was about to have a seizure. would come get us and then lay by her side. my grandma hated dogs her whole life until Tyson, and i ended up leaving him at home with her to take care of my mom. my 130lbs grandma with 110lb Tyson going for walks was a site to see!

i dont dont buy dogs.

we found Tyson in Tacoma downtown area being beat by his owner, my bro and the rest of the cwu O-line was driving by. we got out, they tuned the guy up and took the dog. was great since day one.

Cooper was dropped at our house with a knock on the door and told 'if you dont take him i'm putting a bullit in his head' poor dog was maybe 6mo old and had flees. worms etc, one visit to vet and was a great pet the rest of his life.

Bud. Cooper chose him, local shelter had last chance dogs at the pet store. we walked past, and no joke Cooper sat down and wouldn't move from Buds kennel. never seen anything like it, he was getting excited they had little interaction but it was clear Coop didn't want to leave him. we get the wrap sheet on bud, 4 homes, found as a stray 5 times, etc etc. not good. i didn't want another dog, but i was over ruled. me and him fought the first week, it was really bad. after week two i think he knew i wasn't giving up. been a great pet since.

growing up we had lab mixs, of which i only remember anything about the first one. since then its been bullies, other than Cooper. we were told at first he was a bully mix, but turns out mostly a breed i'd never heard of, a catahoula. i really want another catahoula

Shadoe.. She too is a shelter rescue..X2.. Out of Yakima.. An older lady that my cousin takes care of got her from a shelter a few years before.. That lady had to go into a rest home that unfortunately didn't allow pets .. So Shadoe was on her way back to the pound .. For the Last time...
BUT ... Thanks to my cousin.. Who took the time to drive over the pass in a Snow Storm .. Just to bring her to me .. She has found her Forever home . 😊 (ps: that last photo is of her driving in the snow..yes she's driving ..she can't reach the pedals..obviously..but her paws are on the wheel steering .. She made it over the drift & kept on going 😲😲

Beautiful girl. And obviously a happy girl too. 👍

Daniel Boone would be proud of your identification skills!
Born close to where he settled in Kentucky and Davy Crockett’s birth place. So, there is that. Also up close and personal with a few while hunting deer up around Weaverville, Cal.
Thanks for the 👍

Here's Luis, he's 15 years old and soon to leave us:frown:. He has terminal liver cancer and has not really been eating much, down to 30ish pounds now. Poor guy, I think I will really soon make the hard choice for him
