What's new

New daily

Did you swap in the mustang oil pump drive gears?

Do it!

Also, you dont buy a charger for your new daily and expect to make fuel. Its no cumminGs :homer:
when i went from 25 to 20 with the truck swap i was surprised. the caprice is still pretty fun to drive also, its 450hp or so. gets 23ish, and it not really worth a whole lot. so it makes more sense to run the miles on it.

no, i have heard about pump failures but i think that's more rpm related.
Supercharged 5.0s develop a crank harmonic that breaks the gears, sometimes. Not the drive gears, really the gears in the oil pump. There are aftermarket billet gears or the mustang gears.

Oz tuning told me that rpm is not the problem. It is the harmonic.

I was concerned because his tune makes my truck shift somewhere past the end of the redline on the tach at WOT in sport mode.

mine has the belt driven oil pump, so it doesn't have the problems like the earlier ones. i just had the ford/kicker sub/amp installed. it was kinda expensive but i had a bunch of bucks on my ford credit card rewards. i am fixing to replace the kittens and see about upping the tune a bit, looks like fuel pump upgrade is in my near future.

Putting up my 23 stx 4x4 with the whipple stage 2 set up. It has 275/60R20s on lariat wheels. 2wd struts on the front, about a 2.5 drop. And removed the rear block and added the longer shackles, about 3” drop. Legal tinted windows, floor liners. 17k miles and it will go up with this being my daily driver. I live west of DFW. But I could pick someone up at the airport if they want to fly in and drive home.
50k obo.

some reason it saying the facebook post are deleted.

I bought the same setup on the Ford accessory site for their 4th of July 25% off sale, then purchased the installation online as well. The local dealer was telling me it would take a minimum of 4 hours to install at a cost of over $800, but they had to honor the price I paid online of $180 -25%. All-in, the cost after purchase, installation, and tax was lower than the list price for the kicker amp and sub setup.:smokin:

I can tell the difference, but it's kind of disappointing at the same time. It's nothing like the pair of 12-in kickers on a 1000 watt amp that I have in my shop running off of a large 12 volt power supply.

You'd think with the money he saved buying a 2wd. He coulda at least bought some decent looking wheels:flipoff2:

You may do better selling the supercharger separately and putting the truck back to stock
