What's new

My visit to the E.R....

Update
I had the same experience yesterday morning as I did at the start of this but less extreme.

My right eyebrow developed a twitch yesterday morning :shaking: and I've had a fluttering in my right ear since yesterday evening.
Current BP 124/74 pulse 63.
Have you gotten any answers on what's causing this?

I honestly think you're having anxiety attacks.

Tic convulsif, a mild blepharospasm likely.

7th cranial nerve issue, sometimes the 5th cranial nerve. You'll need to duct tape your eyebrow to stop it completely. :flipoff2:

Its idiopathic / neurologic but your visit to a nerve doc will come up empty because they don't give a shit about mild symptoms at all.

I've had a headache since the first one, it won't go away.

What is the treatment for anxiety attacks?

You need better and more sleep. Srsly. You're not getting quality sleep i can assure you. The ephaptic transmission of nerves can spike (mildly, at your age) and cause twitching in the dome and ears.

Klonopin for nerves / Xanax for anxiety. And healthy exercise, better sleep. If you're doing caffeine in any amount, back off some. Dibs on your sanity if i wasn't already loaded up my own self. :flipoff2:

Hydrate with water as well

No, Waiting to see a neurologist. Waiting until January to find a doctor since they aren't accepting new patients at this time.
It's fawking hard to get a doctor right now. Two years ago I figured I should get off my ass and get a GP. The appointment to see one was a year out. Hopefully they can get you something soon.

In the meantime, you should start dialing back the energy drinks/caffeine with the eventual goal of none. That stuff doesn't help at all.

Oh and come take a vacation to sunny foggy Monterey County to relax! We've got a spare room. You even get your own shitter. :grinpimp:

I get to bed around 8pm, wake up between midnight and 4am and can't get back to sleep. I drink minimal caffeine and 3/4 to 1 gallon of water a day.

It's good to have synced circadian cycle such as your 8p to 2a if that works with your schedule. Those short nights of 8-12 are killers on your energy, maybe.

Seeing a neuro is for 'quality of life' relating to nerve-specific issues. You shouldn't expect to find causes, only possible remedies for the symptoms. Mesenchyme be damned.

It's good you're taking magnesium and riboflavin, those are helpful as well as minimal caffeine.

BE well hydrated but dont wash out your helpful electrolytes.

Do that and it makes it worse,

STOP drikin soda.

Chill the fuck out. Seriously, don't go down the panic rabbit hole. I've had issues with them in the past when I've been going through some really stressful shit and it can be crippling but I've learned how to largely manage it. You just gotta find something to snap yourself out of the spiral. Once the tunnel vision sets in and the walls start caving in and your head starts spinning and it feels like an elephant is sitting on your chest you're in for a shitty time. Literally feels like you're gonna die right then and there.

Caffeine and alcohol make it worse. Well, alcohol is a temporary bandaid but routine drinking is definitely a trigger.

Xanax and benzos in general freak me out. I've heard enough horror stories about DT off that shit that are scary!
Been there done that. Ruined my life on a Xanax script. Don't remember my early 20s at all. Getting off was absolute torture. Seemed great at the time though.

Figure out the root cause before throwing something like benzos at it.

I just hope docs aren't as script happy as they were in years past. I haven't been to one in years.

I don't know, it doesn't feel like a panic attack, I don't think. It's not like I'm obsessing over one thing or even concentrating on any specific when it happens.

No alcohol for 3½ years, very minimal caffeine after the first episode.

Update.

Head still hurts :homer:.

I got a medi watch, it reads my blood pressure a little lower than actual, but it's pretty consistent.
The Heart rate seems to be accurate and doesn't even seem to be abnormally high or low.
Oxygen is above 97%.
