I would love to find a good deal on the 8in metal saw. Perfer the battery powered unit for how little I will use it.
Used the corded one at work for cutting a total of 45ft in 1/2in plate when all done. Fucking A that was easy and not that loud. Was easier to use saw instead of a powermax 85 or bandsaw. The saw produced clean sharp edges that didn't require post grinding prior to welding.

For the hell of it I bought a adapter to try a Milwaukee Battery on a Black&Decker 18v Chainsaw I got free. It turned out to be a slow POS so not too usable. But at a ReStore I got a Black&DeckerFirestorm or some dumb name or other 18v 7 inch circular saw with a decent wood blade and it blazes with the Milwaukee battery. We'll see how many pallets it'll cut up before I toast it.

Yeah but it worked fine several years ago when I sorted out the lumber shed and cut a few hundred 1 bys.

Mid torque has more chooch than the stubby and fits in places the big 1/2" won't. It has its place in the arsenal.

I can or could shoot a rifle with both hands, I can use a hacksaw with both hands, but I can not use a circular saw with both hands.
The only awkward thing to do with my left hand is wiping my ass.
I throw left handed predominantly but everything else is right handed predominant. I'm just all sorts of fucked up.
