Well… like any good father/husband/provider I certainly would like to give them more of what they want. Kids always come home talking about what their friends have that we don’t. The oldest, I’ve been able to explain in more detail why they have much that their friends don’t: less stress from trying to keep up with the joneses, more family time, acres of land to play on, parents they don’t have to split time with.I’ll also bet you don’t pitty yourself and look around and bitch about how hard life is either, you just make good decisions and make shit happen like the rest of us.
I know countless guys today that could and do easily live comfortably supporting a family of five with less than a diploma.
My father did it with a family of 6 from 1952-1985 when i graduated. We weren't well off, but we had a lot and were doing pretty goodWhen was it normal for a person with a high school diplomma to support a family of five comfortably?
My father did it as did many of my friend’s fathers. I was born in the 60’sWhen was it normal for a person with a high school diplomma to support a family of five comfortably?
