Was surprised he acknowledged a major sign that an empire is in decline is the population's fall into debauchery. Would like to hear more about what he thinks about that problem.

I've stated here before that I voted orange man previously, and will vote for him again if given the opportunity. Even though I don't like him.

I'm okay with tossing my vote in the red trash can or the grey trash can. I most greatly align with libertarian principles but the actual party itself has always been 50% good and 50% wackjobs. As of now it's completely off the rails at the federal level, and I refuse to toss my vote in a blue trash can dripping with still wet grey paint.

Run some kind of Ron Paul/ Dave Smith type and I'll gladly use the grey trash can.

I don't know. He's sounding pretty disillusioned with the whole thing. He realizes any campaign he could muster would have no chance, he couldn't get on any debate stages with the establishment candidates, and his podcast influence is growing by leaps and bounds. Hell, maybe that's the ticket. Just keep wrecking people in debates and keep getting exposure. People are gonna stop debating this guy though. You can't win a debate with a guy who has actually arrived at his positions through an honest effort to be logically consistent when you're a partisan hacks who has to toe the party line and try to force your logical pathway to fit.

He has that sort of weapons grade autistic intelligence where he's already on top of what you were going to say before you ever say it. He's like a libertarian small .gov Ben Shapiro without the annoying voice. No one, and I mean NO ONE running for potus under any team badge would even speak to him let alone debate him. Their advisors would be "NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!" :laughing:

He has zero chance in a presidential election and he's exactly what we need. I'd absolutely vote for him. I do think he's thinking about being done with the L party. Dunno, time will tell.

And actually honest and logically consistent. No one should ever take Ben Shapiro seriously again after he pretty much made his name and built his audience on anti-wokeness and then suddenly become the wokest motherfucker on the planet as soon as the topic shifted to Israel and he saw a chance to potentially get his people into the protected class. Fuck that guy. What a complete fraud.

Stop being obtuse. Everyone's pissed at Shapiro for being a hypocrite. Has nothing to do with what he's for or against, just that it's contradictory.

That is not at ALL the situation here. Shapiro was the most anti-woke, anti-DEI guy there was out there. Made a lot of great points that it was wildly racist and just an awful societal direction. Right up until October 7th when he saw his chance to get his people into the protected group. Then all of a sudden he made all the wokest most get the Jews into DEI that he could.

THAT is what I'm talking about. The guy is a fraud. He was never anti-woke or anti-DEI he was just pissed off his people weren't getting the benefits of it. He's all for it if they are. Fuck him.

I just got finished listening to Tucker's interview of Thomas Massie. Give me that fucking guy with Dave Smith as VP and let's fucking go. 8 years of that and then 8 more of Dave as POTUS and we might be able to get this thing back on track.
 
Smith's last podcast was a big whine-fest about why he's not running (because busy), and maybe not even in the party any more.

Disappointing. His takeover was so encouraging, too bad he's not in it for the long haul. Typical Libertarian.

I mean, I get it. The guy had a kid that required open heart surgery as an infant.

He's trying to jump through hoops to not flat out say that's why he didn't do it but it's really obvious that's why he didn't do it and I can't blame him a bit for it.
 
Huh. His jumping is successful, because I didn't know that at all. He should lead with it, because that's a very valid reason.
