What's new

Libertarians- “keep getting your 3% every four years”

Maybe I'm confused because you answer your own question about me;

Or maybe you don't understand that progressivism is coercive?
Or maybe you're one of those "organizers" who thinks that through central organization all waste will be eliminated and therefore the state will not need to force itself upon the populace, being that it is producing with greater efficiency than before

but I've never run into someone that actually thinks that, all the capital P Progressives I've talked to are more about their hatred of those who have managed their finances better and gotten ahead in life...
So again... a very simple question turned into a stupid amount of mental gymnastics on your end. I asked for a definition, a very simple one. Your non answer was the typical mix of word salad with a side of Tard (capital T).

Are most of your conversations in the real world laced with the amount of bullshit you fertilize this place with?

Who is saying that on here?
I haven't seen it, but I do scroll through a lot of posts not really reading too in depth.
Nobody. It's just the old "my position is X, people we all disagree with believe Y, anyone who's position is closer to Y than mine is directly supporting Y" straw-man that you see idiots slinging about all the time.

Seriously. The Mises Caucus taking over got me to switch to a political party from independent for the first time ever and now them nominating this fruit loop has me considering jumping back to independent since their is no primary in the Libertarian Party anyway.

Nothing. If they were following the ideals of Mises, I'd be on board. Unfortunately they've devolved into racists, and I won't have my name attached to their rhetoric.
That's a terribly worded tweet but their actual policy stance is basically just being anti-affirmative action which is the actual anti-racism position since affirmative action is just state mandated racism.

The LP has always had a massive marketing problem. Go issue by issue and most people are onboard but they couldn't sell water in the desert.

That may be their stated policy, but it's certainly not their rhetoric. That wasn't the only social media post in that vein, just the first one I ran back across this morning.

Mises is rolling in his grave over their misuse of his name.

Interesting. Small actually moment though, that tweet is from Jan of 2022, and they "took over" in May of 2022, so TECHNICALLY, that's a pre mises caucus racist tweet, meaning you supported racists before they took over :flipoff2:

If you think about it, it's probably pretty hard to get a group of people whose main philosophy is "You do what you want and I'll do what I want as long as neither is hurting anyone" to have a coordinated movement for anything.

Except the Mises Caucus already ran the NH party in January of 22. That group took over the NATIONAL party in May.

I know, you don't have any principles of your own, only what your party tells you. It's ok.

Yup, and like I pointed out before a group who refuses to vote. It's made up of highly independent, long time preference people as well, who take freedom of association literally and hold it as a core value, hence why there is like 50 sub groups within the philosophy.

Oh go suck a black dick to prove how un-racist you think you are.

what, specifically, is racist about that tweet?

I suspect that many would argue the first paragraph is factually correct, whether they feel comfortable with it being said out loud or not?

is it the attitude that's racist? The last sentence? Specifically, which part is racist?

People dragged here in chains, beaten and whipped for 200 years, somehow owe Americans a debt for how they're treated today?

Get the fuck out of here.

You didn’t answer my questions.

since you're clearly slow this morning, seeing as I explained it pretty clearly in the post you quoted...

LPNH:
America isn't in debt to black people. If anything it's the other way around.
If you can't see that as a racist statement, you need to read more of history.

Heed your own advice there

for a guy who "wants to have an honest conversation," you jump real quickly to "fu because I said so."

What is the statute of limitations on historical evils? What about white slaves? Italian Slaves? Witch burnings? Slaughtering of bison to try to starve Naitve Americans, etc?

And given the US was one of the first to abolish slavery, when does that historical course correction trump the historical evils?

No one alive today went through that. Along with that, in my opinion, has been blown out of proportion. Why would I say that? A couple reasons. First, slaves we not cheap...actually they were expensive. An investment so to speak. So would you spend alot of money to buy a slave and then beat them to the point they cannot preform the task you bought them for?

Second, I'm not saying they were not mistreated but even the author of roots has admitted he embellished alot of the "story".

So explain to me why I today should feel sorry for Black American's today? Hell the Irish were treated bad...along with the Asians.

Fact is, not one black person today cannot get a free college education if they simply apply themselves. You know its fucking true. I had a friend in college whom happened to be black. He would get scholar ship checks he never applied for. The only requirement was that he was black and enrolled in engineering classes.

So you agree that using affirmative action and putting someone in a position they are not qualified for over someone else simply because of the skin color is the right thing to do?

No, I think affirmative action is racist.

I also don't think a group of people enslaved for 200 years owes me anything, even if they get free private-scholarships for college.
