Its obvious from this thread that even libertarians cant agree what a libertarian is. Long standing problem among the party. Yes some want open borders, some are for transing the kids. Its a mixed bag of nuts. I said before, give them some ground on the drug issue and you win 90 percent over.

Also noticed people acknowledging that their party is being hijacked. Hijacking a party seems alot more feasible than breaking through on a 3rd party candidate. Trump did it. Thats why its the MAGA republican party now. The time to get your guy in is in the Republican primary.

Oh there's a few things I agree with him on... but the fact is he's just an old school liberal democrat. And while he's currently dismayed with the woke swallowing his team, he still has hope the level headed Carter loving boomers will take it back soon and everything will go back to normal.

He's a funny one. Having done a couple dozen live shows with him, the audience was typically younger than Boomer, I dunno about his TV audience, but lots of nodding in the audience when he'd come up with some truth they paid to hear. The only time I laughed was when he came out drunk and wouldn't hold the microphone up to his mouth, so I turned off his stage monitors, (old audio-asshole trick), and eventually after some people in the audience told him to speak up, he started rolling around on the floor by the wedges and pulling on the cables like he was fixing them.

I’m a libertarian in the sense that I just want to be left the hell alone, and not legislated and taxed to death.

I don’t like Trump as a person, but I do support the majority of his polices and voted for him, will again. It’s absurd that him vs Biden is “the best we can come up with.”

This nutjob being the LP candidate is actually a good thing IMO, split the liberal vote up instead. Would be worse if someone like Vivek was the pick and a bunch of conservatives voted for him.


The game is “give me $ so I can stop the other side from taking your rights away.” That’s all it is. Most people are best served by and want to be left alone to make their own decisions, but it’s hard to fund raise based on “doing nothing”.

He is in favor of medically transitioning children. He takes a pro-hamas position in the Israel/hamas war. He wants to further open the border. But you are ok with all that i am sure.
