looks nice. all stock?

too soon to ask how it compare to the 6.4 when towing?

I realized that it was fairly often that I was wishing I had a long bed while using my short bed. But when using dad’s truck I never thought to myself that I wish this long bed was a short bed.

All stock, for now. Way to soon to tell. If I was as deal savvy as 2big bronco I would have had something lined up to tow home and sell. I’m not that clever so driving home an empty truck.

Range is awesome. Current truck came with a 40 gal Transfer Flow tank/toolbox to add to the stock 32 on the Ram Longbed.

Nice, I think 19 is a really good year. 8 years to work the bugs out of the 6.7/6r140, 4 years into the aluminum cab, but also pre covid.

My 19 F550 company truck gets a work out, and other than a few stupid things, it's been solid.

Does it have the console, door code lock/unlock, heated seats and remote start? That's the exact package our F150 has and I think it's a good mix of features with out going crazy on price. I'm also not a huge fan of leather.

First year of alumaduty is 2017.

And bonus that it’s pre-Covid build

That’s what I’m hoping for.

Yes. Sounds like the same package. Has navigation. Has both cameras for hitching up solo. The rear camera in the cab light zooms right in where the goose neck ball will be. Sliding rear window.

The only things it doesn’t have that my lariat had are the leather seats and the sunroof. I’ve never wanted the sunroof it just always came with the package that had everything else I wanted.

I knew one of you dense fuckers would jump at the opportunity to try and prove me wrong before they used thier brain. :flipoff2:

What year did ford start making aluminum truck cabs?:homer:

Lariat that year will have ac seats, and dual zone climate also, plus obviously there are a plethora of options that can be added.

Some times dual zone climate and power fold and extend mirrors would be nice, but whatever.

This has power telescope mirrors, they don’t power fold like my old truck and I forgot about the dual climate zones. Old truck had that also. Cooled seats would have been nice, old lariat did not have that feature.

It's a nice feature with leather, but never felt the need for them with out it myself.

Dual zone climate only matters if you have a woman with you all the time

Cooled seats are not really cooled anymore.. just ventilated.

16 f350 cooled seats were awesome
21 f350 ventilated seats suck

Complained to ford. They said “the cooler the cab, the cooler the seats.” They didn’t get the “that’s not when I need the cooled seats” complaint.

Everyone is surprised I bought a long bed… on purpose. I love my crew shorty’s but it was time for Peter Pan to grow up. I’ll miss the short bed but I’m looking forward to traveling with the 48 gallon fuel tank instead of the 25 gallon

I really did not want a long bed when I was shopping but was forced into it because enclosed gooseneck. No way I’m going back to a shortbed truck ever without a bigger tank on it. Game changer on long hauls

A lot of people make a cclb vs ccsb a bigger deal than it is. It's only 18" iirc. Driving the same back to back, but sb vs lb you can tell, but it's not like it's a mile lile people make it out to be.

Now the wife cc 5.5' bed F150 to my cc 12' bed F550, it's a little more noticeable

There’s a little more to it than just the length. My CCSB Lariat has a rear spring pack that’s overloaded with a bag of dog food in the back. It doesn’t even have the pads on the frame for the overloads to make contact with. I’ve never seen a long bed sprung like my little truck. So it rode as cushy as a half ton. But I could air up the bags still put 6000 pounds on the gooseneck ball and drag the remaining 14K. Let the air out and it’s a 1/2 ton again. That little truck feels a lot more maneuverable in a tight parking lot built specifically to exclude trucks and try to steer us all into Prius’s.

That said, it’s a minor inconvenience to add that 2 feet in the middle and pay better attention. I just got home. Did 862 miles on it in 12 hours. It’s nice. It’s quiet. Rides nice. Stereo is great. Comfortable. Lieometer says it got 12.5 mpg. Lieometer says it has 700+ miles capacity on a full tank.

I loved my 17’ cclb srw f350
That wheelbase rides awesome and handles a load awesome. Good call on the 6 speed, pairs well with the 6.7
Even when towing your not stopping when you need fuel, only when you need to pee

It got even better when parts fell off

My boss at the time ordered a new cclb F250 in 2011. We hooked up the 22' deck over bumper pull to it and it looked like it was maxed out, he laughed and said, gess it's getting air bags. He said he went F250 over his 08 F350 for ride and registration in ca.

The leafs looked like the 63 chevy leafs everyone put in thier toyotas. 2 leafs and an over load. same as our F150.

Seemed dumb, but with air bags, like you said, it could do anything the F350 could and rode better empty.

I Dont tow as much and as heavy as i used to

Plus My boss had just got a bad load of fuel that took out his 2014 fuel system seeing they tend to do that in the 200-250k range, and it being dereted with epa shit ramping up i just didnt want/need it anymore. Plus the payment..

So i dumped it and picked up an 01 7.3 in 2019

I swear it would outrun my 7.3 pulling 14k from a stop with the 7.3 empty.:lmao:

Last night I flew from Albuquerque NM to DWF-IA. This morning I took a cab to Mansfield TX and bought this. 2019 CC/Lb 6.7 6 speed. It’s an XLT with all the add options. So… folded em. I’m not done with the ol 6.4 truck but I don’t have time for engine swaps and shit between now and the next time I need a diesel pickup.

Should have told me you were coming to town, I would have met up with you and put food/drink in you in a non romantic manner. Probably could have hooked you up with a ride too.

Congratulations on the new truck, you will not regret that decision. :smokin:

Co-worker has a new (22?) F350 SRW CCLB and sees similar distances out of his.
He likes it a lot more than the 2016 it replaced.

I’ve been whining about how nothing I’ve test driven comes close to the acceleration my 6.4 had especially out of the hole. I was screwing around with the new one yesterday and realized it’s probably torque management to blame for that. Pulling a full throttle on ramp blast this thing finally starts pulling hard in 3rd gear like my old truck does in 1st and 2nd (and all the way through 5th).

I tried but nobody responded. And you Texas fuckers keep it a secret what town you actually live in so I didn’t know to pm you directly :flipoff2: I got dinner at Bombshells in Dallas, that place kicked ass! Wouldn’t have minded admiring booties over a beer with you.

I really did post a thread in GCC letting my DFW friends know I wanted to buy somebody dinner or beer but I got zero replies. Figured I’ve pissed off all my Texas IBB’rs.

Long beds are awesome, it's the crew cab that sucks:flipoff2:

I put over 1100 pounds of dudes in the cab at a time all the time. I need 5 seats for full figured guys. CC is a must here.

Fuck them dudes :flipoff2:

Ford needs to keep the bench up front and add the ranger style sideways seats for the rear extra cab :lmao:

Missed your thread in chit chat, but I was likely asleep when you were in Texas. Glad you found something seemingly solid.

Damnit. I've been off since Friday and have been hanging out at the house fiddle fucking around and completely missed your posts.

For future reference, I'm 50min east of DFW over by Ceder Creek lake. :flipoff2:

Does it have a sport mode or just tow haul?

These new rigs have a mush pedal in stock form. It's ridiculous how much throttle you have to apply to get going from a stop vs when going 50-80mph or whatever to pass.

I think tow haul may help a bit, but in the 150 sport mode wakes it up quite a bit.

It does have sport mode. Just like my 19 6.2 gasser work truck that’s just a feely good light on the dash that doesn’t make any real difference to the trucks output. If I turn off traction control. Then advance trac, then put it In sport mode. It still pulls power and blinks the traction control light if it remotely slips a tire. I’ll look into my options when I derete it.
