What's new

Javier Milei / Argentina

I felt disgusted and dirty giving them money so I didn't have to take off my shoes.
My coworkers would look at me like I had an antler coming out of my head, when my response to thier "why don't you just get precheck?" Was "I refuse to pay for the right to not be harassed, I should be able to travel freely".

Austin Powers :flipoff2: Expecting Dr Evil and Scott to start a brawl

:lmao: exactly how ironic a couple months after a populist is elected and invited into their house telling commies to be less commie. You can bet there is a secret handshake in there that got scrubbed from the clip.

From his speech:

Do not surrender to the advance of the state. The state is not the solution. The state is the problem itself. You are the true protagonists of this story. And rest assured that as from today, Argentina is your staunch, unconditional ally. … Long live freedom.
Today I’m here to tell you that the Western world is in danger. And it is in danger because those who are supposed to have to defend the values of the West are co-opted by a vision of the world that inexorably leads to socialism and thereby to poverty. Unfortunately, in recent decades, motivated by some well-meaning individuals willing to help others and others motivated by the wish to belong to a privileged caste, the main leaders of the Western world have abandoned the model of freedom for different versions of what we call collectivism

"Known as “El Peluca”—the Wig—for his outlandish coiffure, Milei claims that his hair is combed only by the invisible hand of Adam Smith."

Most badass thing I have read today:laughing:

Man what a dichotomy of crews at Davos. Kid fucker elites talking about AI then drinking infant blood until the wee hours of the morning OR the ancap Argentinian crew doing coke until 4am railing their tantric sex therapist GFs:laughing:

I was really surprised how expensive boat slips are in Argentina. That's all that I have other than Argentina may soon be a more appealing place to live than the US.
Well before we all flock to the ancap haven of Argentina, I was reading that their target inflation rate is like 100%. Sounds like it's going to be a shit show for a while l, but interesting to watch none the less

Well, you gonna share that info or what?
you're not the only one looking at that life

Yeah, but if you can roll in with usd held somewhere else to get yourself started, and a nice 6mo stash of prepper goods, you can probably set yourself up pretty decently

Though I'm not sure what the crime is like at this point

I was finding slips around $800 to $1000 per month. That's more than the reasonable slips in the US. Things may need to go further to shit there before US dollars rock there.
