What's new

Java's F450 RV

Hard to say, if you are not far from home and getting back with no boost or coolant is not a big deal.

I mean really though 220 coolant is not that hot for pulling grades and 230 is definitely in the normal range.
I agree with not pushing hard but lower engine RPM at higher load IS harder than more RPM at lighter load.

Yes, I try to stay under 220 though.

And I think the answer through all of this is that I need a trans tune...

100% this.

I see 250 in a BMW motor routinely and don't even worry about it.

the fluid temps are fine. the EGTs are OKish, but I never liked seeing 1300+. more RPMS and send it.

God damn it.

Those appear to wear much like the BFG KM2. Have to rotate them every 3k, otherwise they get stupid choppy.

Definitely bottomed out. These springs are getting tired and saggy again.....

Took a gamble and am dipping my toe into lithium..... Found a 48V 69ah battery on CL that said make offer. Didn't work. So I low balled. Should be 276AH at 12v. Opened it up and there is a shit stain on the BMS. Cells should be good! 336 cells....

I stripped an ambulance a while back. It had a spring loaded recessed male plug that ejected the shore power when you turned the ignition.

Yeah those are awesome and $$$ I have this one hard wired as a whip. I don't use an extension cord if that makes sense

What amperage is that? Can you just put a male and female plug on there?
Put a light in the drivers field of vision (and a buzzer?) that uses a key switched circuit to supply a relay that is triggered by shore power so if you turn the key on with shore power plugged in it turns on a light and/or runs a annoying buzzer.

Limited to 20A.

I am making a sticker for a gauge cluster 🤣

I could do a male port, but I like having my cord attached. It's inisde the tool box, exits a deck plate fitting in front of the tire. This let's me hook up and lock the tool box as needed.

This is awesome.
edit: the battery I mean, not the cord fuckup

Got further in. Only tried to let the smoke out once.

Didn't expect those two to be joined like that. That may determine my form factor.... Need to find GIANT soldering iron to get this apart.

Not sure where you left off on your water heater project but I found a pump similar to this on a Telehandler the other day, it might be of use for you.
There are a bunch of this type, this is just one I found on a quick amazon search.

Oh that would be perfect if I don't bypass heater core!

I tapped new threads, but haven't had time to touch it beyond that.

Anyone have an idea why this thing eats drivers front tires? I did alignment awhile Back..... But just that one side?
