Interesting tools for sale.

Went to the scrap yard with 200 pounds of scrap in the bed. Just some old things that have been really in the way in the shop.

Returned home with almost 3000 in the trailer. It’s a Dake 150 ton press. Not that I have to use for it, but I couldn’t stand to see it die.

This was for sale, now it's in my shop:

Waiting for it to dry out (has been sitting outside) and I will see if I can get my "commonly used" tools to fit into it.

I hate you:laughing:

Damnit. That would be perfect on my Boss5 and a damn good price. But fuck anything to do with even getting that close to D.C. to pick it up.
I live fairly close to the NOVA mess and avoid it at any chance I can. This looks like its further to the east and you can sneak around on 301, but even that route is littered in heavy traffic and million stop lights depending on when ya go through. Not to mention the toll on that bridge is ridiculous.

Yeah...I had a couple projects in Baltimore City and County a few years ago plus one in Loudoun County a year or so after those. I was going up there every week or two and hated every minute of it. :mad3: Pretty sure I committed a felony just by not cleaning all the "stuff" out of my truck every time I went there. :shaking:

Does it count if you don't stop? Our shop van always had at least 1 self defense "tool" in it.

I met a guy a couple months ago up in VA. Said he was passing through MD to pick something up. Had his concealed permit in VA and got pulled over in MD. Didn't know better and when the cop asked if he had any weapons in car, he said yep. Hauled off to jail, car impounded and $20k in lawyer fees later, still has a felony on his record. :shaking:

Kind of a dumbass for not knowing the reciprocity laws, but still....

Thats why you have a lockable box in the truck or throw it in the trunk. Fed transportation law Trumps state law.

You really think that's going to stop your brothers in blue?
Yes. This is why I had a briefcase in Komifornia. Get pulled over, spin the dials and lock it. Had 1 cop shake it by his head asking what was in it. At the time I had a POS 32 revolver in it, he's damn lucky he didn't blow his head off.

Just answering the questions "correctly" and then relying on the 4A if they do wanna be dicks is likely going to be way faster and cheaper than letting them know you got shit but are in compliance with fed law.

Were you molested by a cop as a child?
Nope. Just don't condone taking bad advice from feds.

Sir, I believe I smell marijuana. Please exit the vehicle while our dog sniffs. Hey look, he's signaling.

But, going back the the original statement that the fed is hung up on....

Means having a plan when you must drive through one of those states. Just sticking it in a locked box isn't going to get you past the shitbag cops like Stuck and his friends. You might win eventually, but it's going to cost you a small fortune and if you don't win, now you're stuck with a felony and no more guns.

When I took my first CHL class in TX the instructor was the SWAT lead for the local large city PD. He gave us a bunch of tips on where an how to hide certain things when you're traveling through unfriendly states.

A search with dubious probable cause is a million times easier to fight than when the state decides to prosecute you for a violation of state law while ignoring the federal law.

"I smelled weed" is all the PC they need in most states.

How much are you willing to spend to fight it?

Basically all the liberal shitholes that don't like guns have legal or legal enough weed that smelling weed no longer confers probably cause.

Nope. Just don't condone taking bad advice from feds.

Well gee! Try and hide a gun being carried illegally when theyre gonna search. Hey dumbass. Do you really think if one cop told you where to hide it, the other ones dont know where to look? Do you not realize that kind of shit gets shared? I mean how holy fucking stupid do you have to be?

Thats so much better than following federal transport laws that have already been upheld in NY, NJ, IL, CA. Go thru an unfriendly state? Its easy lock the gun in one container, box, briefcase or whatever and lock the mags or ammo in another. Guess what now youre in compliance with federal firearms transport laws that protect you in any state. But never mind. You go ahead and hide jt under the cupholders in your center console or behind the glove box after dropping it down. No one will ever look there.

You must be fucking retarded.

Do you really think what you do is so special?

Your industry has accepted standards and best practices just like any other. You have institutions and parties developing new shit and refining the old which then get mimicked throughout the rest of the industry, just like every other industry. The fact that your industry is so secretive about your policies, procedures and tactics really speaks volumes as to just how effective they wouldn't be if basic countermeasures could be taken.

When a cop says "do X and you'll be fine" everyone with a brain knows that he mans "you'll be reasonably safe from the guy who's just going through the motions of his job."
