What's new

“I really don’t know why anybody else would buy another vehicle but a Toyota Tacoma”

I always kinda chuckle when people talk about modern vehicles being slow and/or underpowered. Some of y'all didn't grow up driving 22RE powered shit on 33s with stock gearing and it shows. We're talking like 115 HP off the lot but most of ours were clapped out and probably not even coming close to that.
My first truck was V8 hotrod-ish truck my dad had retired from his younger days. 4 cylinders were always a novelty and a joke to me. A toy, second vehicle. There was one year that I had a Nissan hardbody as my actual only vehicle at the time. Other than that I’ve always had big V8’s.

He’s just not taking the bait. If he even opened this thread I bet he the back button and hasn’t returned. He might be an Arse hole but he isn’t dumb.
We all are well aware how smart he is, no need to remind anyone

After owning 4 Tacoma's and one pre-taco, I realized there were better options out there to suit my needs. Sold off my 2021 6MT off-road that I bought new.

Got a 2006 Tundra with 240k on it. I’ve put an additional 30K on it since with nothing but oil changes and a new set of brakes. I use OEM oil filters when possible but cheapened out and got whatever the “decent middle” option was from rock auto. Love everything about it except the turning radius and the gas mileage, but that’s the price we pay for such vastly superior vehicles.

That's odd they killed the manual in the Gladiator considering they've stated all new wranglers will be manual.

No..:shaking:

If you want the 3.6 v6..it will only come in a manual.... Which is still a very dumb decision. Since most people pick that motor over the Turbo 4 cylinder or 4X. E

Auto only in turbo 4 or 4xe..

Or final..final...final edition v8:lmao::laughing:

I'm OG yotarded and I wouldn't own a taco newer than 2005. Big ugly bloated piles of shit and the newer they get the worse the visibility gets. The new generation is like driving out of a gun slot instead of a windshield. :homer:

Speaking of toyota's. This taco has been sitting in this driveway across the street for over a year now. The owner passed a couple months ago after a long illness. HIs brother who is also deteriorating in health, don't even make the effort to even clean out the garage. He asked me if I was interested in an "in ground lift" about a year back. His father (who has also recently passed) owned the house he lives in. It has a shop in the back where I believe the lift still is (not installed) I'm tied of seeing this yota rot in the driveway and I don't want it for myself.

Anyone interested? I could be persuade to ask about it. The lift may still be there as well.

You know where I live. Let me know.

I'd be interested, I'd fly and drive or have it shipped, please lmk

I've been missing my 97 reg cab 4wd

300k on my 04' Tacoma but needs new frame due to rust. 14' Highlander with 200k on it and not a single repair needed. 18' Sequoia with 115k on it and no repairs needed. My dodges, Fords, and Jeep were total shit boxes that had a trail of tears in repairs by 100k. So yea, I've saved money in repairs.

2005 4Runner, pretty damn close to a Tacoma. Just getting broken in still getting decent gas mileage doing it. Not too bad for dedicated daily.

My aunt asked me why I bought my 4th gen 4runner, I told her it's regularly on the list of the cars most likely to last 200k.
