Been looking at a new 4 Runner but can't even get one on the lot to test drive in 2 local Toyota dealerships. Suppose to be getting a TRD Pro for me to test by the end of the month.

I can drive my Tacoma all over the roads, through the hills, weak trails and never do anything to it but change the oil and maybe an air filter. I was trying to sell the engine to drop in a 1uz and all the dumass yota boys in Colorado claimed it was worn out . Buddy of mine had to pull a head on his 3.4 with 380k and it still had the factory cross hatching on the cylinders.

What I discovered is that many of the design features that make Toyotas so dead nuts reliable in the lichen covered subarctic TUNDRAS they were made for are not suited for the warmer environments in which I find myself.
