I'm seeing ~40% chance on monday and tuesday? I was checking around Kyburz and Georgetown.

Still taking the hardtop off because the rig wheels 100% better without it but I'll bring my rain jacket and a tarp.

I am figuring my shit out and packing today. I have to go through salt lake for a 4 hour stop (work related) then across to Reno and down. Will be driving my gladiator and flat towing an LJ, so speeds will be a bit slow. Leaving the house at 0300 tomorrow. Will sleep in reno or tahoe.
 
Im doing my once over on the rig, packing, and shopping tomorrow night. Not sure if im leaving sometime after dark or 4-5 in the morning. Also havnt decided if im trailering or not....

Dirtyjed are you taking your bronco? Anything cool you can do with mine and forescan?
 
Anyone got a pop-up awning that you can bring "in case"?:beer:

Riding with Jimbo, but I'll jump around and spot/help as necessary.
We'll talk about Forescan stuff, a buddy up here has it and is down to do some things. Mainly add all the modes, unlock rear speakers, get rid of double honk/auto stop, etc.

We can have fires in designated rings in designated campgrounds.
So at Meadow lake only pretty much.
I have a propane deal I'll try to bring.
They are very strict about it and will give you a fat ticket.
I saw both Placer county JK's rolling around Fordyce last weekend looking for fires in the early morning.

My view from the house right now is fairly dark clouds up top.

Also FYI don’t go up 20 through Nevada City due to fire at Washington Road.

Was just at the airport and they are flying it hard.
 
I am done loading up. Will roll out at 0300 tomorrow (Thursday 17th) morning. Should make tahoe by 11pm-midnight. Black gladiator flat towing a yellow LJ.
 
I am solo in the gladiator... have a seat if we need to haul more people
 
I live a 1/2 mile south of ground zero from the Soda fire that took out coffee park.

Screwit, the smoke aint a concern .
Till it gets outta control this is a GO.

My shop is always open and you know where I live.

Going to Ft Bragg this weekend and still on standby for news about my Mom in LA so may disappear without notice.

What’s mine is yours and the door is open. My be able to drop parts next week as needed.

Wish I could go this will be amazing.
 
Ok still rambling…. If the meat bees are anything like they are at my house in Grass Valley everybody is gong to want a trap or two AT LEAST. I can barely get on the grill without being swarmed.

what are meat bees? Mosquitoes? If so a few monts back on the rubicon was the worst ive ever seen them.

Fuckin meat bees. I heard a strip of meat over a bucket will kill them. They eat till they are too heavy to fly and then fall and drown.

Pics from the con in late 2020 forget what they called this fire but we had a bunch of out of state people with us and all of their tow rigs and stuff were at camp by airport flat campground. Unknowingly we got on the trail right as they were shutting down the forest. Going back meant heading towards the fire so we just decided as a group to push through.

Bees that can bite the fuck out of you and swarm any meat they can find. We changed when we would go camping up ice house road when I was growing up to avoid them.
