The international community certainly is saying they're very surprised it hadn't happened much sooner. At least all 3 of the people i've spoken with from England, Germany and Israel.

I'm sure he really had a good SS team to this point keeping it difficult if not next to impossible.

I'm guessing there is truth to them being sent to look after the person really in charge, Jill Biden.

The government is truly evil and will do stupid shit like that to undermine their opponent, especially if it's an outsider and they think they can justify it.

I dont think they could have planned something so half assed. I still say it was dumb luck and incompetence.

Anything planned would have been convaluted, complicated, and failed in a much more spectacular fashion.

Fromme, who was standing a little more than an arm's length from Ford, pointed a M1911 pistol at him in the public grounds of the California State Capitol building and without chambering a round in the gun, unsuccessfully attempted to fire.

After the assassination attempt, Ford continued to walk to the California state house, where he met with Governor Jerry Brown. For her crime, Fromme spent 34 years in prison and was released on August 14, 2009—two years and seven months after Ford's death. The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum in Grand Rapids, Michigan, later received the M1911 pistol used in the assassination attempt as a gift, and the gun was put on display.

A friend was at the event and thinks he heard gunshots from another direction before the suppressed fire from the SS but after an initial couple of shots from Crooks position on the roof.

I think it was quite possible that someone befriended and radicalized Crooks to use him as a patsy for the assassination attempt.


Crooks position was inside the perimeter on a highly visible roof
The SS and police knew he was there an hour? before the shooting
He would have had to haul a rifle case most of a mile in public view
People alerted police and SS to a guy with a gun on the roof
A ladder was left out for him
There should have been people on that roof but they were inside
Trumps SS detail had been mostly or completely replaced with incompetents
Crooks was known to be a poor shot
The SS snipers appear to watch Crooks but not fire (or do anything) until he fired at the president 8 times
Crooks is the only 20 year old in the US with no social media presence
Crooks happens to be registered as a Republican but nothing else is known about his politics
He somehow knows how to build fairly complex IEDs but no one knows how.
 
The whole thing stinks to high heaven. One thing is for sure, through either extreme incompetence or intentional acts, the conditions were set for something like this to occur.

As much as I want to believe it was some extravagant plot perfectly planned and only foiled by a bizarre twist of fate when Trump turned his head, the more likely thing is this is all a result of poor leadership and unqualified appointments and diversity hires. I suspect if someone were to review previous events, an equal amount of incompetence would be discovered, along with a healthy dose of complacency. We know the secret service has been a disaster since the Obama days.

Perhaps it's possible that people at the top were purposely assigning incompetent people to Trump, setting the conditions, then waiting for a media brainwashed radical to come along. If that's the case, it should be pretty easy to suss out by comparing a bazillion other planned events for anyone protected by the Secret Service in the years leading up to this.
