What's new

Ford Maverick

About What did that cost? It's looking like I have to call a dealer for a price.

This one has an aluminum ladder rack and built in driver side tool box. Passenger side is open. This quote included install.

I would recommend building it on AREs website and getting multiple quotes from different dealers.

Can confirm the order opens the 17th, Monday. Good luck.:flipoff2:
So I ordered a base model on the 17th. I might be wrong but it appears some of the base model options changed. The hybrid motor was an upcharge of $1500 so I opted for the 2.0l with 8 speed transmission. I only added a few minor things and deleted some too. The ordered sheet is around 25k. I'm guessing it will take a year to make and they will probably try to jack me around on the price but we will see:homer:

Kwillie, my Ford dealer told me well after the sale that Ford has instituted buyer protection to prevent unscrupulous dealers from Phucking over their customers. We got ours at original price sheet and with 0.0% financing which was offered in September of 2021. Good luck. :flipoff2:

No they don't! If they did I would've been first in line to order one! I might even be swayed if they were to bump it up to match the Bronco Sport in drivetrain. I want something this size but as it sits the Maverick just don't have enough off-road to meet my wants for dirt-road exploring and such activities! I want a cute-ute size but I want low range to go with it! I need to just dig up another Suzuki and be done with it!
The Tremor package has all the Bronco Sport offroad tech in it. Still sits a touch low but.. meh

They stated there was buyers protection. So I asked if the price is the price, then they stated it could change and the buyer protection would kick in but it may end up costing more....so I questioned if this is actually buyers protection if it costs more:laughing:. The sheet of paper I got did not say anything about buyers protection so we will see. Also, I signed nothing when I was there. Didn't even check my ID. I questioned this as well and they said they needed nothing...just got a call this afternoon saying I need to sign a document and ID so that Ford doesn't think they are fabricating orders:lmao:.

I picked up my 2023 a couple weeks ago. The price they were charging me was about $800 higher than I was told when i ordered it. I inquired why, they told me there was no buyer price protection when the order switched over from 2022 to 2023, but my order was from january 2023. I showed the dealer the picture of the order form the salesman texted me with the january date and they dropped the price. make sure you compare your buy price to your order price!

There is a corporate Ford contact that visits a Maverick forum. Also some tech types that can provide info on that bullshit.

HillbillyDeluxe and Posford are teh gay section there. . .. .

Huh?

1. I dont own a Mavrick

2. Even if I was gay, I wouldn't let you suck my dick.

3. Are you on the DL because you're married? No judgement if you are.

Denial is brutal Pilgrim :flipoff2:

What is DL down there in Tejas ? Disabled list ? No, still doing quite well in second marriage. On an extended honeymoon and so far so good. I am touched at your concern. :flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2:

FWIW After 9 months with Maverick the following are evident -

The fuel economy is fantastic if you drive like an old lady. My screen is at 42 mpg right now.
Easy 38 on hwy at 70 mph on last 2,000 mile trip. The EPA rating is 33 <?>
Ride is OK compared to a 2002 Explorer with original suspension.
The vehicle tracks well and does not require annoying minor corrections at why spped.
The AC was fine going through Nevada at 100 deg.
The bed definitely holds several 4x8 sheets and can carry strapped 10-ft boards with tailgate at the 45 deg position

The rear seat room is inadequate for normal to large people. My Wife and daughter are < 5-ft tall and comment on the cramped space every time. Useable but not for large people.

Hope that helps any prospective buyer.

Just got off the phone with my fleet rep. The one I have on order is being built this week. I should see it shipped to me in September after we have the topper and logos and such put on it. Very interested to see how this thing does as a work vehicle.

Side note, the three F150s I ordered in August last year are finally shipping to me next week. Crazy times.

KDXSR5, is that the AWD model?

Went with a buddy to test drive a 'used' XL the dealer wanted $33K for  and I was impressed. If you think of the maverick as the ford escort of the truck world, you're probably not too far off.

General maintenance under the hood doesn't look like the easiest thing in the world, but serp belt, water pump (and timing belt, I assume) will have to be done through the wheel well. plugs are easy. Intake is easy. I didn't look at the oil filter though :homer:

It is AWD. I am thinking of it as an AWD minivan with a truck body. I have put about 100 miles on it to get the feel for it. The driving position was a bit odd initially, but I become accustomed to it quickly. It's pretty zippy. The blue interior is a little different. Under the hood looks like a mess, haha. The back seat was surprisingly comfortable and had enough room for me to sit even with the front seats slid back all the way. Overall, I like it so far. It will be put into service for evaluation by one of my supervisors in the next few weeks to see how it does. I had been buying Chevy Colorados, so it will be interesting to see what his thoughts are between the two. I switched from the Colorados because the new body style isn't available with the 6 foot bed, so might as well go smaller and more fuel efficient. Technician opinions are pretty split at the moment. Some think it's cool and others won't go near it.

Mine showed up this week. It looks a little weird because I had to erase the logos from the picture. I am excited to see how it works for my technicians.

Does the built in toolbox have enough space with that height topper?

It's not huge, but I think it is still usable for us. I will take a picture next time I am at the shop and have a minute.

could you measure the dimensions? that height topper doesnt look to bad, but if the boxes arent usable for me ill do the one higher. I really dont like how the taller box looks though

Is Ford back to work ? No UAW in Hermosillo Mexico at the Maverick and Bronco assembly plant.

Real world view on the Maverick, the Lane assist sucks. "Co-Pilot 360". We have a 2022 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid to directly compare it to. The Ford lane assist sucks. I told the Ford rep it's dangerous and I wont use it. They tested it and said " its within speck". Anyone else that has a Maverick comment on this ?

I have nothing to compare it to and have only used it a few times but my lane assist works fine. What sensitivity do you have yours set on?

UAW is only striking at one assembly plant for each of the "Big Three". They escalated the strike for GM and Stellantis to include the parts distribution centers a week or so ago. Everything else, including assembly plants, are running normally.
