Fell Off A Fvcking Ladder This Evening

sidenote i watched a guy looney toons style slide down a 14ft ladder from the top down to the ground, standing backwards on the ladder, missed a step and basically hit his tail bone on every rung on the way down and landed flat on his ass

and he was the guy in charge

Fuck Ladders!

I had one lose footing and fell off, landed on my ass fortunately :homer: that was over 10 years ago.

Now in my 60's I pay someone else to do ladder work :flipoff2:

Or rent a man-lift to do work up high, cleaned all my gutters and cut down a tree from the top down that was near my propane tanks.

Meh, when I broke my left foot and took a large chunk out of my left elbow in the 90’s, I drove myself to a hospital as I was in the middle of nowhere too. Worst part was the hospital I drove to in a small town couldn’t help me but I didn’t know that until after they gave me a penicillin shot in my ass cheek. <- that hurt worse then everything else. Then I drove another 60 miles home and went to the hospital the next day. How hard is it to drive yourself to a hospital with your flopping around arm? Man up wuss :flipoff2:

I am a giant hairy twat… Man after the shock wore off I started to get woozy a couple times. Call me Nancy

I'm the same way. Tore my arm open in June from a fall and every time I looked at it would get woozy. And this was on level ground, just tripped when I went to step over the Jeep frame I was cutting up and my cat like reflexes were napping.:homer:

I’m bad about that shit. I took care of my dad after he had his knee replaced and I’d get woozy watching how much pain he was in. My wife was a burn nurse for most of her career. Nothing phases her. She came in with dad with ice on his knee and me with ice on my head and just shook her head

The ladder, concrete and I had a fight once. I lost... A week or so later I built the stairs I had been planning on building.

Broke my leg wakeskating years ago. Loaded the boat and drove myself to the hospital. Told em I broke my leg and they sat me down in the waiting room for like two hours. Swelled up and turned sideways with no bone connecting it. People would walk by and gasp. Eventually the nurse walked by and after cussing to herself immediately sent me back. Like no shit bitch, I told you it was broke two hours ago

I'm the only one here that can climb a ladder, but my vertigo doesn't allow me to get from it to the roof.

I love the man-lift idea!!!!

I fell maybe 8-10' off an extension ladder a few years ago. Landed square on my tailbone. I saw colors and nearly blacked out from the pain. Had to lay on the ground for a good 10-15 minutes trying to figure out if I was paralyzed or not. Fuckin' brutal.

I roofed for 25 years... im not real smart:flipoff2:... I've met terra-firma twice. I don't recommend it. One time the bottom of the ladder slid out on a two story wall. I rode that thing down until it hit a first floor shutter and spun landing me on my back with a 32' ladder on me. Thankfully it was winter and I was wearing a bunch of layers.
If using ladders be careful.

Who was it on old board (SSS Rodeo, from Texas?) that tried a similar acrobatic maneuver and broke both legs. Was laid up for a while.

This place is a bunch of old fucks

Fell off a ladder, and bulging disc are the top two threads on an offroad website

:laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing:

The bulging disk was not about or from a member. Your reading sucks, :flipoff2: In old man fuckwadpenis nomenclature, your comprehension is shit. :lmao: FWIW - He hurt his back on a 20 mile 4,500 ft downhill packhorse ride ride with gear.

OP, that sucks. Do better and remember for next time or when supervising others. I have to stain to weatherize a critical wood house post/column and I have to get all 4 sides and the top is 22 ft up. Been up there once on a 24 ft extension ladder since erection in July of 21' I hate that shit and may spend about a full hour erecting scaffolding for a 3 minute brush swipe.
