my guess is it's a electric flapper to open up the exhaust. to go from single outlet to dual but the retards didn't put the Y pipe in the exhaust correctly

Someone forgot to close the ball valve on the pan before plugging in the air hose to drain the sump.


Why they didn't just turn off the air instead of letting it blow all 20 gallons is a mystery though....
