What's considered to be very high hours in that kind of machine?

We had a 992D that had 85,000 frame hours when that sent to Boyd for major rebuild.

Both these where at a cement production plant that ran 24-7 360 days a year. That was started in the early 1900s. We had a small aggregate quarry inside their pit, then we took over crushing for them. And got their equipment.

lol it doesn’t take long. I have multiple pieces above 20,000 one above 30,000 one above 40,000hrs.

Its fixed and in a heidelburg quarry in Ohio now, this happened in Indiana. Id had over 60,000 frame hours when this happened. I ran this machine for a little bit.

IT was down with broken bucket when we took it over, was almost a month of waiting on that repair, that was in Feb, i quit working there in Aug. This happened 3 years after I left.

what say the yellow iron experts? Panz and Carter can that be fixed or just scrap it? I am sure it can be fixed but would the repair cost outweigh value of machine?

Perhaps naive, but seems like it really isn't too bad in the grand scheme of things. Some heavy structural work to restore the upper pivot, line bore pivot, probably some work on lower pivot, new pins and steering rams and maybe new hoses depending on how badly they stretched. Not trivial, but doesn't seem like all that difficult or costly of a repair to me.

My frame has over 400,000 hours. It took around 55 years.

meaning, it only have roughly 1,488 hours off per year or approx 2 full months time off with 10 months on duty continuously 24/7 per year.
