What's new

***Fail***

When I first saw this yesterday the front end was strapped down the same as the back. The dude redid the front after pulling the trailer over a curb and thought sorta kinda better of it.

At first I was like "That's a lot of posts to sink into the ground so poorly laid out".... but then I was like "Oh, they're probably just sitting on the grass"...
Not a diagonal brace in sight. That thing is a recipe for killing and maiming people.

Also good for wiping out the neighbor's houses downhill...
That lumber may have cost as much or more than the pool on it.
May? Have you looked the price of lumber these days? I would bet that the lumber was 2 to 3 times what the cost of the pool was even if they bought it new.

It’s dumb enough to try and outrun them in a tractor but wouldn’t they have better luck getting away in the fields?

so I go to renew my license plates online with the state.
the service fee for me to put a credit card number in on a website is more than the local registrar charges me to hand me a sticker across the counter.
and they want an additional 2% for the card processing.
LOL.
looks like I'm going to the AAA office with cash like usual.

also, this is happening this year:
(3) The registrar and each deputy registrar shall collect the following additional fee, as applicable, for each application for registration or registration renewal received for any hybrid motor vehicle, plug-in hybrid electric motor vehicle, or battery electric motor vehicle:
(a) One hundred dollars for a hybrid motor vehicle;
(b) One hundred fifty dollars for a plug-in hybrid electric motor vehicle;
(c) Two hundred dollars for a battery electric motor vehicle.

I guess the honeymoon for electric vehicle owners is over.

I'm not opposed.

but I wonder how many people don't pay attention and they're gonna get a big surprise when the state tacks on a $200 tax, oh I'm sorry, a $200 "fee" for owning a specific type of vehicle.
still cheaper than paying the road tax on fuel wouldn't it?

EV don't work for me since I commute too far to work but it would be nice to not pay the $.41/gal road tax

I guess it depends on how many miles you drive.

but if a big selling point was not paying the fuel tax, the state just took it away this year.
