***Fail***

No you fucking idiot. They find me, explaing the situation and then I arrange to be there while they get their shit.
And when you are unreasonable they just take their damn shit back and tell you to sue them over any unresolved shit you think you may have.

this argument is bullshit and you know what he's talking about. You take that shitbox Lezbaru and uhaul loaded 4x the gross and miss a corner with it and end up on his side of the fence you damn well better walk up to the house and knock on the door and tell them you dun fawked up A-A-ron and you would like to retrieve your shit. not cut across their lawn/field like Mt Billy Badass with your second shitbox to retrieve it. It's called decency and I know you don't have much but that is how it's done outside your little bubble of society.

I'll knock on the door as a nicety in the hopes that you want to play ball and we can work together. But it's just a nicety. I'm not legally required to as "getting my shit back (within the bounds of the law)" is a valid defense to civil and criminal trespass in all the states around me so I'm getting my shit back even if some Karen doesn't like my look.

The fence is a separate matter to recovering my property. I'd offer pay for it without any trouble because I know it's just cheaper and easier that way but if you wanna be a dick we can both waste out time in court.

What if they bring in a bucket truck to get it and tear up your land in the process? Is all of that just ok? For the most part, you better be asking permission to come on my land (within reason) to recover something you have lost.
Let me nip all this and all the other "but what about some other damage" dumbassery in the bud.

Related damage type shit is an open and shut lawsuit if the party who is injured chooses to pursue it. It is tangential to them recovering their property. You break someone's shit you pay for it. Someone else can't just steal your car because it broke down in their parking lot or rolled down an embankment onto your land. These are separate legal concepts.

We'll ignore the fact that the cheap drone (and a bunch of other examples people are probably typing up) are mostly reduction to absurdity.

Yes. You need permission. You are 100% trespassing if you don't have it.

The words you and everyone need to Google are "defense to trespass". Details vary by state but there are some pretty damn big exceptions to to the "hurr durr muh land muh rules" some people seem to think are how things work.

I don't want your shit wrecked truck. I actually want it gone. I want the soil remediation properly dealt with where it dumped 12 gallons of fuel near my well.
Now what about when there's dispute about whether or not I dumped fuel. Maybe I blocked something important to your business. Etc. Etc.

I don't want you destroying my yard. Cutting my fences or running over my dogs.
Tangential. You can easily (enough) recover if I do such things.

I want to know that you are a reputable wrecking company with insurance, not James the meth head who is going to help himself to a trailer or something while he is on my property.
Capricious stipulations like this are why there are disputes and why there is law and case law.
You apparently never owned land where people trespass, poach and steal shit.
This is real rich considering that I live across from city affordable housing and you live on a country estate.

99 times out of 100 you can leave it on the ROW (.gov property).
I'll agree with this. But shit in the ROW isn't what we're talking about here.

it's probably a good thing Sideways asshole doesn't live in the Midwest or the South. He'd end up shot or trying to swim the river with too much log chain..

You are right....Also People would just think he was a californian immigrant

Wasn't that from the cable guy thread or gas co? that took a mower to "help the owner clean up the property"

In the video he did talk about the damage they were going to do, but if they stayed in the wash next years rains would clean up any tracks they had made by being off trail. It also sounded like they had a couple of parcels to cross, private and BLM.

If I had land and found someone with that much equipment just randomly crossing to get his junk I would have questions.

it's my shit and you can't stop me from getting it! /sideways asshole probably.

This is what I mean. You agree with us and we agree with you (in general). Yes there are rules to getting your stuff back. We are both laying out what ifs and to the most extreme to some degree. But overall, the agreed outcome is I say hey man, I would like to do XYZ to recover my property, is that ok with you and let’s set a time to do it. If person resists or does something dumb in the mean time, law enforcement can be brought out to mediate and damages can be recovered in court if need be.

Fuck if I know... maybe?

I want to say it was a couple of guys and about 40 hours of labor to get all the black magic an voodoo wired up:homer:
The one I'm doing is 1000+ manhours for the full analog to digital conversion 😬

Probably just glass cockpit
Garmin (and probably others) offer synthetic vision on their various glass cockpit systems which range from standalone 3" displays to fully integrated 10+" displays and have even started offering it on iPads via their app.

Synthetic vision provides a view of the terrain in front of the aircraft using very accurate GPS location and a base map stored on the device.

I'm not sure what all was done. Said they had to pretty much pull the entire thing apart.

I guess flying to the coast for breakfast only to not be able to land one to many times, pushed him over the edge:laughing:

well ya,
thinking about what you are going to order the whole way there, and not even get on the ground and have to come all the way back pisses a guy off

Just looked it up, for that to work in Utah the land has to be open, meaning no fences. If they had to cross any fences they had to get permission or its trespassing.

I suppose I could have been more clear about the narrow scope of my original question or less over the top with my response but....
Ain't no fun in that.

We all might as well log off and get some work done. :homer:
I wonder if this is Arse goofing off in the basement? No boiler room $tuff but the bathroom is close by though- :flipoff2:
