What's new

***Fail***

If you watch Rory's video it's in there. The TRX fell off the Lockhart Basin road near Moab. It landed on private property. They drug it out of there after they got permission and made a plan with the land owners.
Is the West really that ass-backwards that you need permission from the land owner to recover identifiable property that only wound up there due to circumstances outside the owner's control or was it more of a nicety?

Bullshit "possession is 9/10ths the law" type games notwithstanding, here you'd really have no leg to stand on if someone (or someone acting on their behalf) wanted to take back their property that inadvertently came to rest on yours. Sure you could try and recoup damages if they tear shit up but you couldn't stop them from recovering their property.

Article said they had to get permission to go off trail from the BLM. I'm assuming that is part of it.

Otherwise, yeah. You get permission. You don't go wheeling around and dragging a big fawking truck off my property without permission. Thats how you get shot.

You need permission to acess private land in GA. As it should be.

You want some dumb fuck sniffing around your private property while he recovers his junk.

So bullshit "possession is 9/10ths the law games". Got it.

I'm sure the BLM off trail bullshit complicates things but around here any notification is basically a nicety as "getting my shit back that I had no intention or desire of leaving there in the first place" (I'm not up to speed on the case law so I'm sure there's limitations) is a valid defense to claim of trespass.

The problem is when someone's delivery truck has a problem and they're all but forced forced to drop a trailer overnight or whatever in the parking lot of someone unreasonable like you and you want to hold the trailer hostage so you can make a few bucks off the inconvience. Or some guy catches a stray glass that went flying in a bar fight, takes an ambulance right and the owner won't let him on the property to come get his car unless he signs something saying he won't sue.

this argument is bullshit and you know what he's talking about. You take that shitbox Lezbaru and uhaul loaded 4x the gross and miss a corner with it and end up on his side of the fence you damn well better walk up to the house and knock on the door and tell them you dun fawked up A-A-ron and you would like to retrieve your shit. not cut across their lawn/field like Mt Billy Badass with your second shitbox to retrieve it. It's called decency and I know you don't have much but that is how it's done outside your little bubble of society.

I know better than to feed you, but go back to the thread of the guy with the drone in the tree. His neighbor or whomever was flying one over his property (May or May not have been scoping out his stuff) and it wrecked in his tree. Are you ok with someone just going in your yard to recover their junk without asking? What if they bring in a bucket truck to get it and tear up your land in the process? Is all of that just ok? For the most part, you better be asking permission to come on my land (within reason) to recover something you have lost.

No you fucking idiot. They find me, explaing the situation and then I arrange to be there while they get their shit.

The problem is with fuckheads like you that think "What's your is ours.". :shaking:

You apparently never owned land where people trespass, poach and steal shit.

Start taking better care of your junk and you won't be "forced" to leave it on someone else's land. :shaking:

99 times out of 100 you can leave it on the ROW (.gov property).

Yes. You need permission. You are 100% trespassing if you don't have it.

I don't want your shit wrecked truck. I actually want it gone. I want the soil remediation properly dealt with where it dumped 12 gallons of fuel near my well.

I don't want you destroying my yard. Cutting my fences or running over my dogs. I want to know that you are a reputable wrecking company with insurance, not James the meth head who is going to help himself to a trailer or something while he is on my property.

Arse is a liberal socialist POS.

Your land belongs to us all. :shaking:

He's the "I never worked for anything, it all belongs to me." pissant generation.

This is bullshit.

It was out of Arse's control he wrecked his truck. He was forced to wreck it onto your property.

Here’s to destroying a $80-100,000 truck:lmao:

Article says rory pulled it out for free because there was another YouTube guy that wanted to do it and Rory doesn’t like him:lmao:.
looks like a perfect opportunity to “show them” if WaterH fly in and lift it away with a helicopter.

Why cant it be both?
I suppose it can be. But he is 100% opposite every time. He may lean a bit less conservative than most here. I just really think he enjoys getting people riled up. And let’s be honest, it doesn’t take much to do that here.

Honestly, I really don’t think he is. I think he just really likes to troll. Like a worse version of the Gnome (RIP).
the proper version of anarchism is that you will naturally do everything you can get away with doing (that you want to do)

ain't nothing against it, japan does pretty well being a locked down and authoritarian "high trust" society
