What's new

Dwight Yoakem 63yo has 1st Baby with 36yo Gal.

All I said was it's selfish, didn't say I don't support someones right to do whatever they want. Marry a girl who's dad is probably younger than you, I don't give a fuck.

Again, it's my opinion that it's a selfish move, sorry I don't just fall into the popular opinion here "non lemming"

This post of yours make a mockery of that claim above.

Fuck that, you're an asshole if you have a kid at that age. You know there is a really high chance you won't be around for even high school, much less anything beyond that. Selfish move.

If your gonna call people names at least do it correctly. Lemming term comes from following the thing in front with no idea or reason why. Several people have laid out the why and how they don't agree with you and so calling them lemmings isn't accurate just because they happen to agree with the majority. Lemmings follow 1 or 2 or follow hundreds.

I believe he was referencing an oh so clever sig.

Damn, this was 6 years ago. He's a hell of a songwriter, plays a good Tele and gives his audience what they came for. Tough to work for though, very demanding and not very personable.

An ugly jerk who can write a song. Hmm, now where have I heard that before.

man, plenty of 30-something year old moms and dads out there that are in terrible shape and can't play with their kids either. there's a good chance many of those won't be alive to see their kids graduate college either

should we say that anyone that does rock racing and has children is being selfish? ride a street bike and have kids? all those have much greater risk of fatality then a fit parent that just hangs around

He makes his crew replace the diaphragms in the compression drivers of his monitors...before every show. Yeah, like his 63yo ears can hear the difference. We did sound for him years ago in Sacramento in a club and it was one easily the loudest stage I'd ever heard from a ****ry artist.

I want to say the 7k+/week is worth it but it really isnt.

You shut your filthy whore mouth!

if I had kids I'd leave them at the grand canyon to make that kind of money

I listen to NON- Mainstream music of all all kinds. I don't listen to commercials or what the latest BS song is playing.

The Guy has Talent like I said, you either like him or not. I'm in the not catorgary.

He's the country Tom Petty

Can't say I blame him there. Do you have any way to determine what his hearing abilities are? Small price to pay for excellence at those db levels.

Aren't you climbing up on the big 5-0 right about now? :grinpimp: :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

Country singer Dwight Yoakam, 63, is a dad for the first time!

Last week, Dwight and wife Emily Joyce welcomed a baby boy, who they named Dalton.

In a statement on his Instagram, his rep wrote, “With great joy and happiness Dwight & Emily announce the birth this past Sunday of their new baby boy.”

Referencing his song “Waterfall,” inspired by his relationship with Emily, the post continued, “Babies get born even in a... Pandemic lock down...”

The post also featured pics of Dwight and Emily heading to the hospital.

Their son arrived just months after Dwight and Emily tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Santa Monica. In May, his rep shared, “Dwight Yoakam and Emily Joyce wed in March just before the quarantine in a private ceremony at St. Monica Catholic Church in Santa Monica. At a time when there is so much uncertainty in the world, there are still happy moments."

“In the face of shutdowns and social-distancing requirements, love prevailed, and the less than 10 attendees were seated at least six feet from one another,” the statement continued. “This belated announcement was withheld out of respect to so many people affected by and on the front lines of this pandemic.”

The pair, together for 10 years, had been engaged for “several years.”
