Driveway Alarms

My money is on this being some tweaker hobo that lives in a tent in the woods and not the same people from the start of the thread.
So they have a noticeboard?
Note pined to the Tweaker hobo notice board
“come on out and sit in the woods and watch this girl.”

It’s called an obsession and it’s a matter of time before he gets the nerve to act upon it.

Most tweakers don’t have the discipline that this guy is exhibiting.

If it was your daughter, would you be taking the chance?

It doesn’t mean anything.
You can walk right by no trespassing signs.
You can even take a selfie with it.
Until somebody comes out there and verbally tells you/him that they need to leave.
when they/you refuse to leave then you can call the cops in an attempt to have the no trespass law enforced.
Yes, but you legally need to take those steps if the backhoe isn’t an option.

Wow, I have no knowledge of American laws so i wont give any advice as to what to do, but I sure hope you find a solution and quickly. I definitely agree with those saying it seems like someone planning out a target. And since he is already taking small amounts of cash, etc I don't think its a material target.
This would definitely have me on edge. Good luck and stay safe.

It wouldn’t hurt.,,,

But they’re not needed to catch or convict this guy for stalking his daughter.
And they only stop law abiding citizens.

And even then the no trespassing charges would get thrown out/droped in court anyway.

Do we want to get him on no trespassing charge that would just amount to a small fine or would we like to get him on a charge that it’s a little bit more serious, that would include some striped sunshine?

It is also possible that it is a dumb kid taking a shortcut to his gfs house. Or hiding from his parents.

Not in washington. We had some methheads in the area a few years back. One came back and my buddy caught him on game cam with a date stamp. Cops came out and saw the pic and looked at the area. They knew the guy and went and wrote him a criminal trespassing citation. Now if its somewhat innocent, short cut to you GFs or something like that you will probably get a warning. But fucking around on someones property probably not so much.

“One came back”
And messing with something it’s different than just walking through an area that is posted.

Just as you said, and I said if you go through, you’re just gonna get a warning the first time.

Track him back from where he came from. I nightvision monocular will aid at night. Look into parking areas that direction from your house and start randomly popping out there and taking pictures of plates on any cars parked there. Either have a buddy do this while you are at home being visible, or have a buddy impersonate you at home so you can drag the backroads looking. Once you figure out how/when he travels there, follow his ass home. Once you know from whence he came, you can decide what the next set of actions may be.

In this situation I would have no issue taking time off work and devote my time to this project.

Are you keeping a event log? If not, start one.

If not resorting to taking care of it yourself, you need to file a report with law enforcement. Have your daughter call 911 every time she sees or suspects someone is lurking around. Documentation and repeated calls for service will build a case if and when they get caught, or if and when you or your daughter defends themselves. When they get caught, demand a restraining order and prosecution. This is a potentially very dangerous situation for your daughter. This person is working themselves up to more invasive and violent acts. Don't let it get to that.

In rural Arizona, people are known to fire one round into an embankment when people drive down private roads to notify the motorist that they took the wrong road. Someone lurking around the house would definitely warrant that.

Sure, stranger shit has happened but the odds of that are just stupid low and not even worth discussing.

You jump to conclusions like a woman and appeal to emotion like a liberal.

:lmao: you are confused.
And your statement above just shows how high you jump.

Ps
And I’ve read a few of your nonsensical posts and you sound just like a guy that would sit out in the woods and stalk somebody’s daughter.

Prove me wrong :flipoff2:

Who's the bum removing the SD cards then?

There's a trophy buck in those woods that OP's neighbor wants to shoot. Blurry blue man is a local teenager who's been hired to clean out all the game cams so that nobody else knows about the buck. :flipoff2:

Still more realistic than tweakers spending a year to surveil some rando without slipping up and stealing anything or leaving trash around in that time.

I had a neighbor take in a stray bum to help him with projects around the house this summer. Literally found him at a gas station and offered him a place to live. He's been happy with the arrangement.

Well he decided to bring him over my place to tour my old truck collection because the guy used to do auto body & restorations before he chose the travelling bum life. His intention was to introduce us but I wasn't home.

A few days later he stops by with him and we're introduced and he tells me about the tour and how cool my crew cab international is. I was pissed at what I felt was a massive breach of trust by my neighbor, but let it go because I didn't want to start trouble.

A week later I come back after going out for dinner and one of my trucks is moved 20' and the keys still on. I had the fuel shut off so that saved it. It's a truck with no lights and no brakes that I use to move firewood. Sometime between 5pm and 11 it was messed with, and it's parked 300' up my driveway not in view of the road.

I followed him to the local store the next morning and waited till he came out. Respectfully told him I didn't like my stuff being touched, that I couldn't prove it was him but next time there'd be cameras and my place was not open for visitors. Asked him to stay on his side of the street. He was on edge but of course offered to help find who did it (right..) And that he was a good person and would never.

I followed it up with an afternoon of target practice since it was a Saturday.

Haven't had an issue since. There's now a driveway alarm, a live camera at the entrance and a game camera at a pinch point in the driveway. Sucks to have a surveillance state but unfortunately it's needed.

The neighbor was sad that his attempted arranged friendship didn't work out and defended him saying if he wanted to steal a truck he would have just taken his. I told him he wasn't going to bite the hand that feeds him, and maybe it never would have happened if he hadn't brought him over for a tour in the first place. He at least agreed that the timing looked very bad.

I live in a similar setup and could see my one neighbor doing that. He is a great guy and a good neighbor but he really wants a Buck every year :laughing:

Decent quality for that thermal cam right there.
How much was it and do you have a link?

Start setting some bear leg traps.

I seen a video where a guy took a fully auto BB gun and mounted it to a motion detected sprinkler that would follow the motion. :smokin:
 We were in at Cabela's the other night picking up some, lets call them supplies, the kid wanted to bring a bear trap home....But we have a bear Dad:grinpimp:
Someone needs to stop this guy before something happens to your daughter.

I’d be camping out in the woods waiting for him.
I have been for a long time. I have sat in the black just waiting for more nights than I want to admit. Summer wasn't so bad with the short warm nights, but now it is dark for a long time and raining, my sense of humor is dwindling.
The cops could already be looking for him.
Or have a idea who it is.
Unfortunately I live in one of the counties that I guarantee that you have seen on National News with it looted and on fire. I do not live IN the city, but the same ideal ology follows the police here locally. Now to mention, will they even arrive ?
Also, put No Trespassing signs at all edges of your property, NOW. Don’t allow them to claim ignorance if they’re caught.
That task has been done years ago specifically for helping with the coverage of my Constructional Rights. It also covers this situation
He isn’t there to steal anything .
this has been going on for almost a year. He’s there for his daughter. < This is the big problem

I bet he wears that hoodie all over the place.
and I bet the cops have seen him. Getting The cops involved is the only way that this is going to stop.

Have your daughter keep her head on a swivel when she isn’t at home because she has seen this guy at school or someplace else.
Her head is on a swivel, has been for a long time. She takes enough self defense tools with her to school that if they did a bag check, I would be called in. When she is home she is in full defense mode and you really need to announce yourself if you arrive :grinpimp:
And setting up booby traps could get you more jail time than this guy will get.
Yes, you are correct

This is actually what I was hoping for, It has been confirmed that it is not.

The posted pictures is what I got. Are they him/her? Black/white? Hair color? I have a picture, but there is really nothing but validation that my kid is telling the truth

I am in this process, and have been for some time. Finding what you dont know what you are looking for is actually quite hard. I have four more game cams that should arrive today bringing my total count to 8. I have been trying to narrow it down. I have been trying to get a direction of what way they return so I can focus in a direction, instead of all directions.
To smell smoke or a vape means they are close.
Yes, and in the past my daughter has found a cigerette in the yard, we do not smoke
I would be in hunting mode. Is there a common area this person is coming in and out of?
I am :grinpimp:, and yes that is where the footage came from.
The posted picture is actually on our property, but out of sight from our place, also is where the driveway dinger gizmo is now located

The shitty thing, that is a maple tree, and it is dripping those big leaves, and it is triggering the bell, so I am up all night. I did scare the shit out of the racoon:laughing:

I just want to say that I sure appreciate the input, and I know I am not the first person to experience this.

Those that bring up the booby trap idea, that would probably work, but beings that the common denominal here is my daughter, this is a value item in my world that shall not be fucked with by anyone or anywhere. I do not expect everyone to understand that point of view, but I do know that those that know what I mean, know what I mean

I do not want to tip this individual off that they, frankly are being hunted. I need to catch them so I can end this, properly, and legally. The Sheriff will be involved when that time comes
You are right, the kid can see them on the property and just start target practicing (we have a shooting ally right there) but we will never know who the problem person is
I am also trying to be very careful with my words here

Remember if they know you know, they change the pattern and you start the process all over

Good luck and i hope this ends well for you.

Hopefully he falls and bumps his head many times while he’s trying to get away from you.

yes, you are correct
but that takes time to grow that bond. and this is a time where I regret not listening to that kid wanting to drag a puppy home three years ago
It doesn't take as long as you think. I've adopted a 2yr old dog that protected me when someone tried to get in my house less than two weeks later.

I agree on the two large dogs.

How old is your daughter? I hope she is willing to use her gun when/if needed.

I have been watched, and it makes your skin crawl.
