Driveway Alarms

There's a commie named Felix that thinks he is the smartest guy in the room, maybe you should go debate with him.
Why would I waste my time doing that when other people will do it for me and there's a bunch of filthy west coasters and ignorant boomers who would otherwise go un-heckled? :flipoff2:

Mighty Mule Wireless Driveway Alarm, Motion Alarms for Cars with Long Range Base Station, Weatherproof Driveway Alert, Ignores Animals and People

Although, I am not looking forward to the animal false alarms (it is not uncommon to have 8 or so deer just hanging in the yard, I do want the people intercept
Will keep this one in mind for future upgrades
This is what the nephew installed at our entry (covers both of our gates). It's great if someone is home at the front house, but it really doesn't do me any good since I don't have a receiver for it. I have been looking at the one Seubs070 posted, I may have to add one to our driveway.

Cna you shoot where you're at? A couple rounds from a 7mm or .300 mag into a berm would do the trick id think....

Or you could get a couple of these and you won't have to worry about burial. :flipoff2:

No trespassing sign on the gate with some .45 cal holes through it from the back? Subtle deterrent.

It sounds like you and your neighbors are working well together. There are two neighbors that can see the bottom of my driveway but not the future house location on my Arizona property. They call me whenever someone is at the temporary chain across the driveway. If I don't answer or tell them I'm not expecting anyone, they go over to see what's up. I've had the county septic inspector, and a contractor call me to let me know what great neighbors I have because they were asked what they were doing on marked private property.

It is time
Kid left her tools in the woods over the weekend and went out to pick them up around midnight. She came in and said there was a car that kept pulling into our driveway, and getting out and messing with the gate
I came home again tonight to a kid sitting there next to the wood stove, with the door locked with her rifle, again she went out to grab her stuff after dark , this time she could see through the trees, a person shining a light on the gate lock. This time was 8;00 or so completely dark, as we are having a typical PNW day and it is pouring and windy and really dark
We live on a private road, and know the neighbors
We live in the middle of the woods
I have contacted the neighbors, no one said that they were over there, but the ones closest said that their dogs were going bonkers for a unknown reason for a while today
I am kind of feeling like someone is putting in some homework for a thief run

Driveway monitors??
who has had good luck with them, and what?
I'd like a few sensors (at least two) and if I could get two base stations that would be awesome too. I can put one in the shop because that is where I spend most of my time anyway
end of the driveway is 320', I know that is a reach

or something else that works better ??

I have some driveway alarms stuff I didn't use for the pool I'll literally send you if you cover shipping . Seriously

Get a backhoe and dig a hole next to the gate, where it can easily bee seen.

Sign in front of the pile of dirt from the hole that says "Last week's trespassers"

Sign in front of the fresh hole that says "This week's trespassers"

Various articles of bloody clothing mixed in with the freshly dug dirt for added affect.

Motion activated lights and something that makes a pump shotgun being racked sound wouldn't hurt either.

This isn't a Halloween decoration thread.

I'd like something like this:

I ordered some alarms,

Dogs are a great idea, and have thought about them and am concerned that my Daughter is going to use this event as a way to get another dog

We have been without a dog since poor Tucker died a few summers ago, doesn't help that the neighbors got two puppies and the kid dog sits for them.

the next problem is, our type dogs just want to get the ball when someone comes over rather than defending my tools or family

Modified grenade devices ?

20.00 each plus shipping.

trips pic of what comes with.png

I looked at those trip, um 'perimeter alarms' last night

those look :grinpimp:
not wanting to get a bullshit Bonanza charge though

wouldn't mind a dry cleaning bill though
