Dogs of Irate 4x4

I got off the couch to give my stomach something to do.

I don’t think I’m getting my spot back 😉

Charlie does that shit too. I'll get up and he'll move from the end of the couch he was on to where I was sitting and lay there looking at you like yea I stole your spot. :flipoff2:

Somebody adopt this Mal. He's a good boy that's at Frosted Faces Foundation, a senior rescue in Ramona, California. He's been there several months. He is smart, knows several commands, and will walk for miles. Not your typical senior. He's about ten years old. Walked him for a few miles today.

A lot of the dogs at FF are surrendered by their owner as they reach senior stage. Just when the dogs need their masters the most, they get dumped. It's shameful.

This dude, Argus is just cool. When you stop walking and are not petting or interacting with him, he will smack you with his paw to get you moving again.

He sounds like a doggo I'd have no choice but to bring home if I was within a reasonable drive this weekend. :crybaby2:

Hope he finds his proper place in life.

older dogs are the best dogs.. they are usually potty trained, they are past the chewing stage, and just wanna hang out and chill. plus I firmly believe rescues are different in that they know they were saved..

dammit my allergies are starting again..

Thank you for taking him for a walk.

It's my Sunday morning routine. I volunteer and donate there. The founders are a real nice couple. My daughter only adopts senior dogs from them. She ends up with new dogs every few years. I don't think I could do that, I get too attached to my animals.

The wife keeps snapping overly cute pics of Odie.. (he was a rescue dog as well)

Rubi isn’t growing as fast as Ranger, but then again, she’s probably going to be 80-90lb and he’s prob going to be 130-140, but she’s probably going to be the better livestock guardian dog. She’s way more independent, alert, and hangs with the goats.
She’s not very photogenic though, and seems to get left out in this thread.

The two Morons are growing like weeds. Learned sit down stay and come (latter one when they feel like it we’re working on that)

Ham is going to koh with me so he’s learning to wear shoes. My luck he’d cut a paw in the desert. Smalls is going to a 2 week board and train while we’re at hammertown. Then they switch when I get back. Separating them for a month will hopefully help with that brother bond. It’s strooooooong.
