Dogs of Irate 4x4

Godspeed Magnus. On 11/22 we lost our boy. I'm not able to say what happened for legal reasons, but a vet made a horrible mistake which cost him his life at 13.5 months old. It's been a few weeks and it's still struggle. He's deeply missed and it's weighing heavy on me today for some reason.

I'm glad you are doing a legal thing against that vet.

This breaks my heart so much for you. :(

My potato hurt his knee last week, vet said his right knee was twice the size of his left and put him on some anti-inflammatories. They don’t seem to have been helping that much he doesn’t wimped or anything but he definitely has a limp and is favoring it.
Anyone gone through any knee related injuries with their dogs have any thoughts on helping him get back onto his paws?

Token picture of the monster.

Glucosamine and collegen helped my dogs knees a bit. Your dog needs to shed some weight to take pressure off the knees.

He’s been the same weight since he’s been two,110lbs but 34 inches at the shoulder, he could lose some weight but can’t walk him because of his knee. He will bark/whine if he is hungry but only eats when he’s hungry, he can have a full bowl for a day if he’s not feeling well and not touch it.

I’ve tried switching up his food and walking him 5 miles a day nothing seems to get him below 100lbs, vet said he could lose a few lbs but he’s not super overweight you can feel his ribs, hips and spine under his coat when you pet him.

Bad photo for me to ASSume your dogs weight.

The glucosamine helped my rottie mix with both knees fucked at birth. He lived 12yrs.

My service dog had horrible arthritis in both hips. She did really good for a couple of years on it also.

CBD oil can help eliminate some of his discomfort.

No he looks like a chunk in photos especially when sitting. He just built like a horse you can see his muscles ripple when he walks and plays, might be one of the contributing factors as to why he got hurt because he did it when no one was around.

You did call him a potato."

Can he swim anywhere? No stress on knees exercise

I had a black lab for 16yrs. They are supposed to chunk.

Lol, I use potato like a normal person would use idiot, potatoes are also his favorite snack. We have to keep the potatoes in the top of the pantry otherwise he will steal them out of the cabinet.

That’s a good idea, he loves to swim in the pond out back.

He is just a big lab, same playful manner just twice the size of a normal lab. Here his is on a normal size couch doing his best to take up the entire thing.

My mother had a cat that loved raw potatoes too. Would grab the potato's out of our hands while trying to peel them.

He is a big boy. How old is he?

My neighbor has a dog just like yours. Nice dog but the fucker barks all damn day. I got tired of it yesterday and did a mag dump with the AR, that shut every dog up for a mile. I think they got the point and took him inside.

I’ve never heard of a cat liking them, that crazy. He won’t take them from you but will whine till you give him one.

He’s five, but still thinks he is the size of his head and has the energy of tigger bouncing off the walls when anything happens. When I get home he runs to greet me and will slide on the floor the last few feet to my feet. He terrifies everyone with that move but has yet to knock anyone down.

Thats no good, she mostly only barks when she should, unfortunately the coyotes and muleys wander through the yard quite frequently, usually somewhere around 3am. Creating quite the freak out session.

The dog would be a lot better if the dumbass owner didn't keep it on the front porch all the time. I bet the dog hasn't been on grass in a year. Maybe it's just me but I don't see the point of having a dog if you have to keep it chained up all the time.

Our little girl started getting sick Sunday. I took off from work Monday to take her to the vet as soon as they opened. She passed one mile from the vet’s office in my lap… little shit went out exactly how she lived… her way. I buried her next to her best bud (our first GSD) under the oak tree in our pasture. Rest in peace sweet Gracie…
