What's new

Did ya hear? Covid is over!

I just tell myself that its an identifier for the mentally weak and ignorant and I should appreciate sign.

Actually went to a boutique type plumbing store yesterday and the psycho women who run it wouldn’t do business with you unless you wore a mask. They had plexiglass barriers up and both were wearing 2 masks and face shields…
Those plexiglass shields were up in a few stores here, but they disappeared quite a while ago. Doctor's offices were still requiring masks though until a few weeks ago.

Chase the Trump indictment now. They will make it last through the election even if only in the headlines.
Yup replying to my own post:flipoff2:

This the type of shit I'm still seeing. I thought this was covered years ago. Smh. I don't fucking care anymore. At all.

Huh?

kaiser is a large HMO based health care system in california. was kinda nice back in the day because all the care was on the same campus and very little additional stuff had to be 'approved'. straight from primary doc to the MRI machine if it was warranted. obama care jacked it all up and the quality of service has gone down hill.

they would hand masks out at the door and each time i would say 'we are still doing this'? i refused to make the kids wear one and i would half way wear the one they gave me.

It's given them a very visual way to set themselves apart from the "lesser" people around them. I swear that they're wearing them to say, "you're dirty and I'm clean."
I'd wager there's some unwarranted but genuine fear, as for many people just the first two weeks of this lie probably scarred them for life and made them afraid of germs, human contact, heck even the frickin' air. Easy times making soft people and all.

Echoing your post, the other part of this is the mental illness of virtue signaling. Those weirdos don masks and feel like they're doing their part without really doing anything at all, kinda like being social media influencers. That includes shaming anyone who they now feel 'isn't as enlightened' or 'doesn't care about murdering people with their breathing'. Now extend this to the vax.

3/28/23 Required COVID tests and masks. Minimum guests allowed

4 days later
4/1/23 All covid restrictions dropped.

We couldn’t have our 2.5year old at the hospital to meet her brother because she is under 14 under the COVID restrictions. 4 days later they were all dropped.

Masks will always exist. The events over the last few years can make it difficult not to feel judgmental when seeing someone with a mask, but,… masks existed and were worn before without much judgement.

I don’t think much of it anymore when I see masks. I simply assume they have their own reasons and I’m cool with that.

Nothing of substance to add, but kudos on taking the kids to legoland. That place is fucking awesome (or at least it was when I was last there almost 20 years ago)

Edit:
Doed this mean people looking to be state .gov employees (CA .gov workers in particular) don’t have to deal with the covid jab barrier to employment?
Lego land is awesome for kids. We did the whole nine- stayed at the hotel, buffet, treasure hunt, all of it. Not normally my cup of tea, but my kids being excited made it fun for me.

Also yeah, no covid jab barrier here. For a while it was "get the shot or you have to mask up at work every day", but that went away a while back.

Annoying thing now is getting shit when wearing a mask as PPE for doing dusty work.
Will all the bullshit news practices and political posturing going on out there, I added a new rule for myself for living: Never let all this political bullshit co-opt something you use for their own purposes. I drink whatever beer I want, I wear whatever ppe I need, or clothes I like, or make whatever hand gestures I want. People making assumptions about me based on whatever facebook meme or crap news story they watched on TV can take a hike. Their opinions don't matter.

Today Is my wife's first day being allowed to not wear a mask at work. 18 months or so ago they changed the policy so that if you got the shot you didn't have to mask anymore. So her punishment for being one of the evil unvaxxed was having to wear a mask an extra year and a half.

California agencies were interesting. We made the public mask up and distance and all that crap in our public facing areas, but in employee only areas we didn't really eat our own dog food. Can't imagine why. :flipoff2:

I'm just trying to see the angle.

I THINK it's because it has no impact or power anymore, and if he cancels it, when he needs a distraction he can REINSTATE it, and it will be big news and get an extra boost of power. It's kinda being put in a standby mode to recharge.

It's all about the Marburg now. try to keep up.

Oh and I just saw this

If only I could murder people with my breathing!

It's like train derailments. They have always happened but now we notice them. There has always been people wearing masks for as long as I can remember due to allergies or whatever, we just notice them now.

As an employee, I don't see how this wouldn't affect my job performance from that point on. And by job performance, I mean me actively trying to run that place in the ground and cause as much financial trauma as possible before getting fired.

The ONLY people I have ever seen wear mask here in Texas before this were Doctors WHILE PERFORMING A PROCEDURE, or Asians.

I see mask people, I assume their parents took their security blanket too soon and now no one will take it from them.

Dumb people are going to dumb. But now they can feel self righteous
What's the next plandemic? Anything new from China coming out??

Fauci already confirmed it's coming within the next year.

The people I see wearing them are mostly black people. I guess it's because the media lies that COVID disproportionately affected POCs really sunk in with them. Completely sucks given the governments track record of health related atrocities towards black people
