Definitely dumb then.
I bet tweaker thinks he has "at least a bags worth" :lmao:

How in the hell did they even get it stacked up that high before they put the strap on.

I am amazed.

What ya doing with the poles? They make good bridges for cheap.

As of right now I'm just bringing them home to my stockpile of poles. Might think about putting up a pole barn with them sometime to park equipment in, but that would be a long time out. The power company re-did the high tension lines across the prairie where we have a gravel pit and left us a pile of them. They've been sitting there for a while now and I figured I better haul them home before someone else decided they needed them more than I did. Luckily I was able to hit mostly back roads on the trip home.

Meh, there was a time when you didn’t need a $70K 475 hp diesel pickup to pull a trailer anywhere.

That sort of thing was all over the roads in the '60s and '70s. My grandfather towed a 22' Terry RV trailer all over the place with a early '70s Olds.

Nah. Common misconception that old cars weigh a lot. They're usually lighter.

1972 Impala: 3,7xx lbs
BMW x3: 4,300 lbs
1972 Delta 88: 4,300 lbs

I'll admit a Delta 88 is a true yacht, but even a convertible Imapala is lighter than an x3. Safety cage ftw.

That diamond C trailer is worth more than both vehicles combined. Well, it was.

Not a big dumb load(more of a little dumb load without tongue weight), but this guy gives zero shits about some serious sway. Pretty funny.

I've done that... UHaul failed to fully tighten down their twisty ball latch thing and the 6x12 jumped off the hitch in eastern Tucson... went over a bridge with quite a bump (anyone who frequents I-10 in that area knows which one I am talking about right as you are leaving town). The problem with the situation is that the trailer has surge brakes, so I couldn't use my controller to control the sway. All I could do was hit the clutch and let it do its thing behind me until the combination slowed enough to pull on the shoulder and coast to a stop. Luckily I had a floor jack with me, so I triggered the emergency brake lever (never triggered as it was still hooked by safety chains), pulled the truck forward a bit using the chains to lift the tongue up a bit, then slid the jack underneath to lift the tongue back up to the ball. Resetting the e-brake lever without the right tool was a total bitch, though.

Not a BDL, but I can't start threads with my puter, so I must find similar threads to post something new. I saw this trailer today and couldn't figure it out. Pics not real good, but you can see a set of wheels under the trailer that are situated sideways. I couldn't see if they are just some kind of dolly that is stored under the deck or if they jack down somehow. Anybody know?

Trying to think of a use for them jacking down, lifting the regular tires off the ground, roll the trailer sideways for some reason?

When I passed it, I could see the wheels were almost right at the rear axle. Maybe inter meshed with them. Weird place if for storage.
