Dad sold his Pettibone a few weeks ago, dude finally came to retrieve it. I probably would have set it a little more over the axles but meh, not too dumb compared to most of the other shit on the roads around here.

Then he tried to leave...

Guess its staying awhile longer.

I'd have thought better of Skipped_Link on getting the pettibone for the planetary's.

Stands weren't a stand-out until they were all recalled a few years ago.

i always stack old fashioned wood block cribbing as backup
I have stacks of it for this specific purpose in my shop

jack stands go in
wood blocks go right behind it just as a safety
I always leave the jack in there too

I have never seen a wood block crush all the way, so I feel safe going about it that way

Apparently dude came back yesterday with a welder and some jacks. Spent 3 hours patching the trailer up and rolled out. Dad went to town shortly after that and didn't see it on the side of the road so...
