Around here they only care that the holes are filled/patched and not jagged. Sure, they can fail you if it's literally rusting in half but that's a judgement call and they never do that because there's no money in it.

I took my Tacoma to the shop for some pesky EVAP code & PO304... Mechanic puts it on lift (unbeknownst to me + told him) & bent the rear frame. He replaced the EVAP unit & bad injector. The compression pressure on all 4 cylinders is 150-
