I used to really like the way guarded front bumpers look but now all I see is this:
Wish I could have my old opinion back....
Wish I could have my old opinion back....
Shoudlve had the chrome light/grille guard
Couldn't believe it when I realized that truck was 2wd, they way it's styled you'd just think it was 4x4.
Love that movie.
that looks good. super duty axles?
97 Ball Joint axle and stock rear 10.25
What movie is it?
Black Dog was the name of it.
Oh I think I've seen that, Patrick Swayze I believe? A movie about basically driving a big rig too long tired and seeing the black dog or something?
some people know my longish history with mostly ford trucks etc, and I will not describe just now
the main problem with most after-market bumpers and guards etc, is that they don't give.. I know at least 10 cases of people thinking they had no damage only to find out they bent their frames..
the 2nd problem is that they don't crunch correctly, so in an accident your air bags won't deploy..
third is the weight issue.. for bigger ones, on all sizes, cuz some get super heavy unless they are hollow.. and many people fill them with sand
Why would you fill a bumper with sand? I could see it on a purpose built rig for different reasons, but not a daily driver.
