Anyone have a 4’ drop they wanna send my way? Or even better local pickup? Let me know cost.
Local yard wants 110$ out the door.

No clue on their shipping, but I've bought from them before and don't recall it being unreasonable.

I did a couple projects with Moose Metals in Concord for work a few years ago, seemed like a cool shop. Might be worth checking there if you aren't familiar with them.

Call Hot Metal Fab in Loomis. I’m picking up parts at WFO on Friday I’ll ask there also.

fuck I just used 2" .120. Works pretty well. I was looking for that valve on here about 2 years ago, ended up with a butterfly and bimba cylinder on it.

My girlfriends family does kind of a white elephant deal for Christmas where you make a list of things you might want and then somebody pick something off the list. This was from my list. So far I’m into it for zero dollars.

McMaster used to have 1.687 ID seamless SS tubing that was affordable and perfect for golfing. They don’t even stock it anymore

Damn, online metals has 6061 2”x.120 $30.61 for 48” of it. Was hoping for other sizes but it’s 1.75 ID or 1.68 ID (.035 wall)😬

Trying to keep it steel so I can cut off the threads from the tire filler part and then weld the new pipe to it.

At the last golf tournament I was at they had a launcher, and the barrel was curved to induce backspin. The balls went so far you couldn’t see them any more.
You can mill a notch in the end of the barrel to accept a coarse, spring loaded file. More tension = more spin and rotating the barrel determines the direction.

That’s a damn good idea, I wonder if a little weld bead on the id right at the end would do the same.

You want it to be adjustable! Thanks but I can't take the credit, I copied it from some old school SPFX guy.

By the way I only had 2 inch welded seam tube when I built mine late one night while drinking beer. That welded seem put a hell of a spin on it I just should have made the barrel able to be rotated

This thread and digging up my old thread got me looking on Amazon, $73 delivered for one of these cheetahs already set up with a pistol grip, I’m not even fucking with mine anymore. Just going to put an aluminum barrel on it and find some aluminum 2 inch threaded And weld that shit up. My freshman in high school son is about to start golf as his extracurricular in the spring season, can’t wait to go out there and Onewheel golf while the high school is practicing and show him what a real drive looks like :lmao:

I run an annual camping trip each April
one of the local guys made a golf ball cannon that he would bring each year. (black powder)
have never found any of the balls shot.
