What's new

1962 Mercury ADHD build

Didn't you have those on dirty lyfe wheels? Got rid of them?

That cab must be narrow, looks like the the tires stick out quite a bit

Looks pretty sweet. Try not to bust the windshield out of this one :flipoff2:

yep had them on dirty lifes then sold them, they bounced around a few people then i bought the tires back at half what i paid the first time

cab it little bit narrower but new wheels are 3.25 back space vs 4.45 of the dirty's so thats part of it as well.

this one will have a windsheild and heater and stereo and all that classy stuff

been chasing rust and think ive cut out about 25% out
Headbang.gif
someone before me did some repair and it was pretty hack, not saying what im doing is much better as dont have the right tools and not cutting all the rust out.

"not pretty" :lmao: That's a good one. Looks pretty schweet from where I'm sitting. Not everything has to be a show truck

eh?:flipoff2:

looks better then what was there thats for sure. i just have to keep telling myself its a trail truck.

This thing getting a cage?

no plan for a cage as of right now. if truck evolves to that point that it needs a cage, then i will probably cut out all the floor and do it right

Fuck ya. :smokin:
What is the seat out of?

its the stock seat out of the 88 F250 that i used for the frame and trans, its got a tear on the drivers side but other wise in good shape.

really trying to get this done and go snow wheeling for new years day. try and send a hour or two ever night working on it but we just got a cold snap and was -29c today (thats -20 in freedom eagle temperature) the shop stove is having a hard time keeping up, keeping it above freezing but not by much

trying to get the back end of the truck done. rear shock mounts off the ubolt, did this on the last truck and worked well. used the stock front shock mounts and cut a hole in the box for them. also got the fuel cell mounted

PcihGOk0LeFjLS37DZdaSVKxM8cwCjje98Rn59Id6EaA=w2400.jpg

had to build a steering column for this. the 62 column is one piece with the box so that was not going to work. used the stock mount in the cab and just drilled a hole in it to lift the column up a bit as needed the extra room. column is a copy of what i built for the buggy, dom tub with some brass bushing.
