been working on few small things on the truck

rear tail lights, instead of trying to find new lens i just cut the box for some flush led lights. used a micro switch on the pedal to turn them on

added some braces to the trans crossmember as feel like the frame was flexing. used the stock upper bracket and cut it and added a tube to the new trans member. ugly but hopefully works

made a muff pot so can have some warm trial snacks

Is that Muff pot a retail item?

Nice
you can by them but they are meant for snowmobiles so come with the mounting bracket and large hose clamp to attach to the muffler ect. i just ordered a $20 stainless food container off amazon and built a bracket to the inner fender right over the header

link to that SS container?

I do intake manifold burritos, would be perfect.
kinda wish i had gotten a bigger one as will be tight getting food in there for 2 people but will try it out this weekend

here is the link to the Canadian Amazon so sure you can find it for cheaper in freedom land

Any idea what kind of temp it gets in there? Curious if it's more just a warmer or if it makes a but of heat and need to be more mindful of drying stuff out/overcooking

no sure about temp but tried it out this weekend, food got nice and hot but i picked pizza pop bite things and got soggy. with better food choice it will work great

made it out again, was a beauty of a day and let the wife get some more seat time. thing crawls snow real well but when it time to hp the snow its lacking and learned i need to turn the limiter up as was hitting that when chasing the Durk a few time. but solid day with zero issues and worked the truck hard pulling some stock rigs all day

got out again this weekend for a night ride. other then washing the truck and adding some oil i havent worked on this thing in a while so was nice to just load it up and go out wheeling. did have to do a trail fix near the end of the night as truck died and turned out my ignition coil shit the bed so had to swap that out. muff pot worked great for heating up some left over lasagna for us to enjoy while buddy was swapping over a tire he was having issues with

yes you so as friday night was a nice easy cruise

its a big project for sure but its her dream and will not be a regular trailer rebuild as we are turning it into a mobile tattoo studio so not going back together how it was

Whatever works. I'd think an enclosed would be a better starting platform, but I know they can be expensive.

Neat idea though

buddy with the Welfare is doing a shot gun wedding at the end of the month so we ran out to where hes as at now and did a stag wheeling trip. had enough time to wash the merc and toss a new ignition coil in it before heading out of town

Still thinking about a motor build?
every damn day :lmao:

keep going back and forth on doing a 351 vs just staying 302 cause i have it and it runs fine just gutless. Have a line on a 69 351 so its the 9.48 deck, have heard its one of the better blocks to build off of but cost of rebuilding the heads its almost same price as aluminum. Was thinking of going roller if i do it but retro cam and lifters are not cheap and finding a late 90s roller block is not as easy as i thought.

as of right now will probably be rocking the 302 till it dies as truck is needing some love as havent done anything to it other then putting fuel in it. steering ram is dicked and i need a new one, will also change out the cooler at that time. it pretty much doesnt have rear brakes so was going to swap in the diff from the buggy as it has disc on it but that would mean i need to do 4.88 gears in the front to match. the little extra gearing would be good as well to help out the 302. i have about 90% of the stuff to link the front now so want to get that done this summer when i have some time.
