2001 ford f-250 trail truck “Stubbs”

Please post pics of this buick truck

I wasn't counting the buick in the truck count. it's a long ways off.

edit: the buick is a great example of project creep. i've taken the wifes escape on more wheeling in the past 10 than I have in that, my "dedicated crawler". bone stock TTB F350 is probably my best current wheeling rig, but that's just because it lives 5 miles from the "road to town"

At the risk of further derail, name which Buick engine in that rig, Provience . I promise I won't reply and drag it out, especially in a great shortybox build thread.

well, it's not the fire 8

iron block 5.3 chevrolet drive-by-wire, non-OD 3 speed auto, range box, dana 300, toyota 9.5" axles....the buick body mostly fit the lines of the chassis and the wheelbase matched what i was going for. I've been mentally very close to changing out the whole drivetrain for something else, just have to remind myself that i've got to get it all together as is first, then it'll be okay to change it up.

That Buick is pretty sick and I don’t mind the chatter, being down with no finger has me bored and I don’t see me getting this done before the weekend so it’s gonna make its way to the next race. Not this one

or...hear me out....save the $800, use leaf springs. cut up the bed to get it back on and spend that money on beer and go wheel :flipoff2:

wyoming and leaf springs will do solid for a long time

should of left it stock with 33” all terrains for that matter
:flipoff2:

Uglyred i got 2 - 1-1/4 heims with bungs and misalignment spacers ill send ya if you link it

if mobil1 sends in some stuff I'm sure i can kick in some random stuff as well. ill have to get in the shop and take inventory to see what I have

Ya, dude, got get some tri'actin and get back to work. Guaranteed everyone in this thread had worked on thier **** with shop rag and electrical tape on a finger :flipoff2:
I would have a year ago but I got a kidney transplant last July and can’t take to many chances.

And snow racer that’s a cool rig too, next week I’ll see what I can get done and post it up.

Wvracer821 guys thanks for the offer, ill might have to message when the time is right. :dustin:

Ya, giving each other **** is part of the fun here. No one gets a pass :flipoff2:

I'm not super versed in other forums. Maybe Snowracer can post a link to the welfare duty build. It would right up your alley as it was built on a super tight budget.
Yea I actually just looked through his plan B ford and saw that he raced against an old a TMR chassis #1025 that the shop I work for now races. But snowracer you got a link to that fourm.

Thanks for that, reminded me to go edit my alloted 10 posts per week. I've been slacking..

So I got some more stuff done to it and it’s sitting on its own weight. The shackle angle is pretty high, but I think when I get more weight back there it will squat more and be mo betta. We will see?

Boss man at work Levi told me I should probably run a brace across the rear end to tie it all together or cage the back half for more support. So got to work on something there.

I know it doesn't flex crazy and it’s gonna 3 wheel sometimes. But I think it’s gonna be stronger this way. And Montana trails don’t get that wild so it alright. I think I can get the a little more droop with some bump stops but we will see and test later.

Currently at 7 inches travel at frame rails. After I get the front lift springs in I’ll see if I got to lift or lower the rear to make it level. How much do you think these leafs will sag down 1.5” 2.5”?
