I’m in high gear on this remodel. I want to get back on the buggy NOW.

Are you cutting it with a table saw or one of those things that looks like a paper cutter? I assume it’s like Pergo or something?

It’s MSI vinyl. So scoring it with a razor blade. But I have to beat the ends in so hard the opposite end is breaking off. Just pissing me off.
 
So close to done. This week should be it. Hoping to put this behind me by the end of next weekend. Fawk. Have to **** with baseboard behind the barn door, fill holes and paint said baseboard, and all the entryway trim, install the threshold, paint the exterior doors, and done.

The buggy has been sitting in the shop looking lonely.

I’m back on the buggy. :flipoff2: Going to order my fuel cell today. I have to mentally get back to where I left off and it’s not easy! This will for sure be wheeling next spring. My truck and trailer don’t go in salt, so I have a good head start on the 2025 season.
 
I haven't touched mine in months, you probably have some time. I can typically go hang out there and clean up and organize stuff and it comes back pretty quick.

I think my game plan is to get everything done to fire up the engine. That will allow me to start into the harness, which will allow me to start mapping switches, relays, all that fun stuff.

I need to upgrade my front axle more, but plan is to save the rest of the axle building (knuckles, brakes, steering, etc.) until the end. That way when those are done it should be rolling under it’s own power.
 
I’m back to debating on diffs.

I have to buy a high pinion gear set for the front. Wuz is hooking me up with an FJ80 HP front third member. But now I’m wondering if I shouldn’t just run Detroits or a Grizzly front and rear. I could add a driveshaft disconnect later and utilize cutting brakes more.

Currently I’m welded in the rear and Grizzly in the front.

Any input on running front and rear Grizz/Detroit set up? I don’t want to run air lines for an ARB and deal with an air tank or compressor. So that’s currently not an option.

Opening up a can of worms here.
 
personally i would do the locker in the front. your choice and would look hard for the HP fj80 front. even look for some one scrapping their old 80. totaly agree on the air lines and that BS

Well I already have a Grizzly for the front 3rd.

But I could take that 3rd and toss it in the rear, and do another Grizzly in the high pinion. If that makes sense. Ultimately it’s either welded rear/Grizzly front or Grizzly rear/Grizzly front.

This is what I would think, but i'm just a web wheeler.:grinpimp:


I've been happy with the TRE air lockers i have, and they make e-lockers that are less of a plumbing/wiring problem than an air locker


I was also happy with the Eaton/Harrop elocker i had in my landcruiser, just not as cheap as the TRE stuff.
