What you do to your MC today?

This got the rebuilt forks reinstalled after i got home at 1045 from work last night, didn't have time to rebuild em myself so I paid a local suspension guy to do it. Then tonight new counter shaft seals, reinstalled front sprocket, chain, case saver, carb, bars and controls.

Now this one gets new reeds cause there's nothing left to change to figure out why the hell it's breaking up on the top end. It's had a stator, coil, plug, filter, and carb cleaned and checked half a dozen times. Leaning it out helps, but I didn't change anything before it started doing it.

Ran about 2 hours up the road and hit some new dirt.

Desert single track is ****ing weird:laughing: We will be back though. Bring the 150 next time, that place was made for it

CDI doing wonky things? Possibly swap that out with another to see wtf?

50 doesn't have a cdi box. And it's still ****ed. Did a top end and it started missing down low instead. Gonna **** with the jets and see if that helps, and if it doesn't, I'm gonna hand it over to a guy who's known for tuning these things.

Oh, and he nuked the ttr trans again...I think he's partying too damn hard.

I got to try out my gps speedo I installed a few weeks ago I keep forgetting to turn it on today until our last stop . It’s accurate going off a school zone digital sign and the over speed light comes on at 15 mph over the speed limit .The first time the red light came on I thought that can’t mean I’m going to fast so keep going over not hard to do on our backroads . Also has batt voltage and distance traveled not bad for $50 off fleabay.

I swear I've taken this picture before.:homer:.

He showed me where it blew up, he hit a rock on a hill they were riding and he said it went bang, the chain came off, then it started making that noise. So I'm wondering if blowing teeth off the sprocket shock loaded the trans, or bouncing wide open was enough and the sprocket was a separate incident.

That was a problem but I already tossed it and put the hose back on with no improvement:laughing:

Pulled the carb off and it was barely dripping. Figured I hadn't shut the fuel all the way off cause it has that stupid ****ing screw style petcock, not a normal lever like everyone else. Turned out it was fully open amd couldn't vent.

Whatdja get?
Technically I had a photo of it posted on the board already :homer:

Dis pic her?

I loved that 350 so much on that trip I bought it from the guy that lent it to me. (the one on the left)

2022 350 XCF Factory edition. Good god this thing is a rocket.

Everybody likes a 350:smokin: In your treeless, flat terrain I could see one being pretty legit

Yeah, I'm selling my YZ250 and replacing it with this. With how the suspension is valved in it right now it's an absolute weapon in the rocks n roots. Going to be my defacto woods/ enduro bike from here on. It'll be a bit weird doing all that on a 4 stroke instead of a smoker, but it'll be fun.

Take your 250 down here and we'll see how flat it is. I got hills down here You'll run out of power trying to climb, ask my 04 how I know :flipoff2:

Have a buddy who had a 300 and then just another bike on rotation. Soon as he picked up the '18 350xc the 300 only really ever came out for the tight stupid riding that sometimes happens. For most things he was faster by quite a bit on the 350.

Now that he's got the new 300xc and the 350 is eating fuel pumps that has changed:laughing: He's been babbling about a new 350 though. So I'm sure that'll happen soon

I dont believe it. Every video you have posted shows you just riding around a field full of sage brush

INB4 I go ride the mountains 10 miles from my house and you say it's not real woods because the trees are too small and too far apart, then go do a bunch of my vertical terrain riding and you just say it all looks like florida hills and I get defensive and say it's gopro effect

Snagged an IMS tank for half off. Not a huge increase in size on the FX going from 2.2 to 2.8

1000005971.jpg

Couldn't get the stupid fuel line to come off as I couldn't get both releases to let go at the same time so rigged up a tool from some broken snap ring pliers.

1000005970.jpg

The old tank was slimmer and slid right out of the bike. The new tank is chunkier around the sub frame so to get this one in, the subframe/exhaust get unbolted and you insert the tank in to it, then reattach the entire assembly back to the frame.

I should have read the directions beforehand as I didn't realize the seat need to be cut also. Had to dig around for a bit to find my HF special air stapler

1000005972.jpg

Not bad.

Also since I had most of the plastics off I replaced almost all of the hardware with new from a Bolt kit so it all matches now. Now I can take everything off with just an 8mm instead of the combo of 8's and 10's it had. Plus the washers are all captive so less likely to be lost now.

Rode the 150 today. Love that bike but it takes some getting used to coming off a grown up bike. Bit me today due to that.

I missed a turn where the trail drops down onto the road. Instead I gotta bunch of roots that are undercut and about a 15' near cut bank to drop down.

Blurped the throttle a lil but 150's just make noise when you do that:homer: full on lawn darted about half way down. Then over the bars. Landed on my head and then got ran over by the bike.

Blew the hose outta my camelback bladder. Took about 30 miles of riding before it stopped blurring on me like an old star wars movie.
Bent one of my cycra's pretty good, head is still pretty foggy and my ****ing teeth hurt for some reason.

That sucks wiped out in a turn yrs back took a minute to figure out why I was wet blew the mouth piece off the hose and it pissed all over me. Another adventure on my friends sled I managed to crack my carbon fiber helmet on the pavement that led to going to the hospital in the UP and getting checked out friend said I looked confused so I just went with it better safe than sorry. How's your Helmet look ?

This popped the hose off where it hooks up to the bladder. Not sure how that possible, but that hose hasnt been unhooked from the bag for probly 4 months. So not like it was installed wrong.

Didnt look at the helmet. Didnt care. Was actually surprised I wasnt really ****ed up. I landed bad an in a less than graceful way. Laid there for a few wiggling toes an such before I moved to get up:laughing:
