Compared to Jerry Reed's, yes I agree. As part of that album, I dig it. When that album's on in my shop, it's a nice reminder that I need to give my JR playlist a few runs through soon.

I don't do subscription services, so my wife's old (and shot ) netbook is my jukebox in my shop. Sometimes I'll play a certain album for the old "listening to tapes or CDs" experience; sometimes I'll fire up an eclectic playlist with 100s of songs.

Didn't know Buck covered it, I had heard Hank Thompson and Johnny Russell's versions but not Bucks

What I find weird about the original is that Prima released that in the '50's. I'm surprised that as uptight as the country was about things then that he was successful with that song.
