Your favorite song covers?

This just popped up on my pandora.

I'm a sucker for this song, and for female vocalists. I found the volume going to 11 in short order. :smokin:

I like that song. And I like that version.

But… Don’t ever believe that that song is not “music to kill yourself by “


There are people I can see entering, the depression spiral just by looking at their playlist.

When I’m trying to help somebody who is struggling with depression, one of the first things, I tell them to take that shit off and play something brighter.

Music is a great way to ruminate.

No worries here.

Thank you for being one of us who struggles keeping them out of their holes. I've gotta shoulder to cry on, a face to punch, and a body to beat TF out of for anyone who needs it. Just don't pull that trigger. Lost too many. I'm here.

Have brought this up with my daughter a time or two. Her musical tastes are mostly dark and bleak (very...emo). Her movie tastes are almost strictly horror stuff (Probably my fault, admittedly, I'm a cheesy horror junkie). I've commented to her that it's good to add some brighter, more upbeat stuff in there too, in both music and movies. If everything you listen to or watch is dark and depressing, eventually dark and depressing is all you start to know.

My all time favorite band. I about shit when I heard Summer Breeze start when I bought that CD.

It’s been a source of contention for decades its seems, but I still think Pantera’s cover of “Planet Caravan” is better than Black Sabbath’s original.
Not better than the original by any means, but I still like Acacia Strain’s cover of “Black Hole Sun”
Don’t know how to embed it, but Elephant Revival’s live cover of Tool’s “Schism” is damn good.
