WHO STILL WEARS PRE/NON-SMARTPHONE WATCHES?

broke the expanding band on my Timex last night. I don't buy $$ watches. I just need it to keep time and not be a smart watch since I can't have anything like that at work. Off to Amazon to find another cheapish Timex.
 
Armourlite, Momentum, and a Seiko skx in the collection still. Tried smart watches, sold them all. Sold the luminox watches too. Might try that ecodrive up there, looks right up my alley.
 
What's decent, analog and under $100?

About how long does a battery last?

Is wind up or self wind reliable at this price point?

As said get a citizen eco drive. I have one that is 23 years old and has never had an issue. And they dont need battery replacements becthey are powered by light.

I started wearing a standard watch (Timex) again about 6 months ago. :beer:

Aren’t Armourlite and Luminox the same company?
 
I have a Vostok that my dad brought back for me from a work trip to Kiev in the late 90s. Also have a Citizen eco drive I picked up used for cheap that I like.

I do use the Apple Watch most of the time for the fitness tracking since I’m trying to drop a few pounds.
 
Went on vacation for first time since back to wearing an analog watch.

Something I had forgotten about, nice thing not getting all confused with time zones vs home. While everything else automatically switches, its easy to look at my watch and see what time I will be returning to.
 
I have a garmin instinct that I wore no matter what but after years of wearing it I got tired of always being connected to my phone. So I drug out all my traditional watches and bought a cheapy timex and that's all I've been wearing.

The disconnect from the phone has been nice.

I got same but never sync/connect to my phone though. That'll annoy me too
 
Not since I got a phone with a clock on it.

Wore a watch surfing all the time to make it to work on time but that’s about it.

I’ve been on a similar journey. I used to wear my smartwatch all the time, and like you, I eventually wanted a break from being constantly connected. So, I pulled out some of my traditional watches. There's something special about wearing a watch that’s just about the time and not everything else!
 
:usa: has seen much abuse! Four new wristbans and I'm positive my body drains anything with a battery if touching my skin.. at minimum it's seen 2 set of batteries since year 2.5 of wearing it. Awesome watch in simple fact I haven't destroyed it.
And It can multi task without being attached to anything other that my wrist.

kinda? I just stopped a few month ago.
I work on the railroad where you can't have an personal electronics (not even a fitbit). Those rules got changed so I got a Garmin Dive watch now. The reason being is does smart phone stuff, but when I leave my phone in the locker, it just does watch stuff and meats the PED rule.
