WHO STILL WEARS PRE/NON-SMARTPHONE WATCHES?

I cant wear a smart-device to work so I dont waste money on one.

i stopped wearing watches a long time ago. Now I only use on to keep my mouse occupied so my screen doesn't turn off at work

You know you can change that setting right?

Curious though... do you just put it under the optical sensor so it reads the second hand moving or what? Thats pretty brilliant.

last watch was also a Casio
even then I didn't wear it, it has always been strapped to my rear view mirror

and that was in the 90's
basically day time/night time for me

I’ve got a couple dozen. Also have an Apple Watch that I love but it stresses me out getting notified of each call or text.

I’ve worn a watch since I was a kid.

Generic cheap digital watch here. Smart watches baffle the f out of me. Do you really need to see who commented on your facebook post right this bloody second? If you're doing something where you really can't take your phone out of your pocket and look you probably shouldn't be screwing around trying to read a watch either.

i feel weird without a watch. take off before bed and back on when i get dressed.

90% time its my g-shock, the other 10% its my nixon banks.

banks is probably 15yrs old, g-shock 10yrs old

Spinoff from 'hey watch people' thread.
Who still wears non-smartphone watches?

I have two said watches that I haven't worn/used since my son talked me into buying my first smartphone in 2017.

Who still carries the 80-year tradition?:smokin::grinpimp:
My watch is a Swiss Army watch that's the old fashioned type with "hands" on it. Looks like this.

Last time I wore a watch was basic training in 2001.

Have no reason now since I generally have at least 1 phone, often 2 and clock in the car or truck.

Unfortunately the work laptop is managed by work and I can't set it.

Yes, it works great. I used to run a powershell script that would push "fake" keys but that will get flagged by the company these days

Can you get me Lee Majors' autograph? :flipoff2:

My brother was on a church trip to Cambodia and the locals kept calling him something.
He finally asked WTF it meant... pretty much "gorilla"

It saves me a ton of time seeing who is texting or emailing me. I can decide if I can ignore it or not faster than digging my phone out of my pocket. I can't hear my phone on the plant floor most of the time so the vibration on my wrist is a better way of letting me know if I have something that needs to be done.

It's also convenient to use it as a remote for playing music in the car.

I thought they were a gimmick at first, but I'm on my second one and would replace it ASAP if it broke.

I'd say 75% of the time I have a samsung watch on, the other 25% of the time it's a 10yr old g-shock. On the rare night out, I'll toss one of mu fossils on.

Seiko Diver's 200M
Yellow face, Black bezel
Had it for probably 20+ years. Wear it EVERY day
Replacement for the Seiko Diver's 200M Black face, RWB Bezel that got stolen

Always appreciated a nice watch but I could never get past how much I don't like wearing one. Same thing for most jewelry, tight fitting clothes, etc.

The only upside to the smart watches I see is fitness tracking. Otherwise carrying a smartphone 24/7 is bad enough, I don't need one strapped to me at all times.

Carpel tunnel is bad in both wrists so I don't wear a watch. When I was a kid I would aquire a watch wear it for a week or so and it would just quit didn't matter what brand, so off it wquld go to my uncle he would check it out send it back and the same thing would happen, he finally decided that I had some sort of magnitic field that was causing them to quit, because he couldn't find anyhing wrong with them. I used to have one that hung on my belt loop, but now days I just use my phone.
Back when I was still wearing a hard hat I had a little digital clock stuck to the inside, some one asked me what time it was so I took my hard hat oiff held it up to the sun and told them what time it was. They asked somebody else and found out I was right, You would have thought I was some kind wizzard, well my hard hat got knocked off and when the guy handed it back he saw the little clock stuck inside, I then stood a shovel straight up and showed him you could tell time roughly by the shadow

My wife has one and I don't get it. I kept asking her the point of it and saying it was a waste of money then she gave me "because I want one" then started listing off all the money I dropped on our 3rd vehicle/my crawler and I ended that with fair enough, as long as it makes you happy:lmao:
