What's new

What exotic cars deliver? Paging Gary and other rich white old guys.

Lamborghini Gallardo was by far my favorite exotic car I have ever owned.

It did everything amazing, I had it for over a year and 10k miles and it never needed any service except for a clutch replacement.

Would fully recommend.

i.

Yeah I talked to you about it a few years back and your thoughts have stuck with me. You even had the exact color I want.

Buddy of mine just bought a '72 Datsun 240Z for $21,000.

They were going for $4,100 brand new in 1972.

It has a 280Z motor and rear disc brakes conversion.

I had a ton of fun driving my boss's Maserati. They don't hold their value at all but I think thats the beauty of it. Pick up a used one for a 1/10 what they are new and you are driving what is basically a cheap Ferrari that you can put some buddies in the back. They look like a catfish but that means people will leave you alone.

The nissan gt-r is looking good, and the 2010-2011 models are in the 50s.

I Still cant get over the fact of how fast a civic type R is around a track.

GT-Rs have a ton of aftermarket that is "reasonably affordable" when compared to other cars in its performance bracket. My coworker has a 800whp GT-R as his daily.

The Series 1 and early Series 2 cars can fetch big money. I believe a restored series 1 car went for 125k on BAT a year or so back. decent examples are pretty common to be in the 40k+ range

As far as SanDiego CJ goes, he is a fan of the F12, which afaic is the greatest car Ferrari has ever built or maybe ever will build, what with hybrid and EV technology coming on.

Not that I would know, I have never even sat in any of the cars I mentioned except for a Corvette.

Actually I'd much rather have a Ferrari 599 GTB or an 812 Superfast than an F12. If I have the money to buy only one Ferrari it'd be the GTC4 Lusso because it's stupid fast and you can use it for something besides a toy.

The 2019 ZR1 is stupid awesome. Far more terrifying than the 2017 Z06
The 2019 ZR1 will probably hold more value than most previous vettes as well, IMO, because its the last of the F/R Vettes. Also the first generation of the M/R will probably do well as far as retaining value for the same reason, IMO.

Having driven many new and classic "exotic" cars from ferrari, lambos, lancias, jags, mclaren, Ive got to say the 2019 ZR1 is hands down fucking amazing. Nothing else had the shear power torque and handling combined.

So I just looked into this for shits and giggles

Wow that seems like a lot of car for under $20k

Maybe not exotic but considering the vet was mentioned...the shelby gt500.

for 100k you could pickup a c5 ZO6 with lower miles and slap a twin turbo on it :smokin:

The 959, Carrera GT, and 918 Spyder would like to have word with you.

Audi R8 is another good option though as evernoob said.

For the money you can add the Audi B7 RS 4.

I actually know of one that may be coming up for sale. Very well maintained with a blower on it. 600 something HP at the tire. Holy fuck I love driving that car any chance I get.

Nowheres near exotic, but I drove a 2001(?) Dodge Viper. Only 400hp, but was a neat ride.

Mmmmm. Viper is so so exotic. You dont see them often and they are a hoot. Buddy has a late 200x? GTS and its pretty cool.

I love my viper but wouldn’t consider it exotic. It IS for sale btw......cheap.

What year, model, and how much? Unless your talking about your trouser viper.

I've not played in the true exotic world, but I've built modded hmmwvs (plural), owned special edition GM Denalis, 911T GTs & 928RT's and limited MBZs and BMWs...including old school BMW 2002s, karts, and other shit like modded vipers and C-Zt's. If you build them right, any passenger should be scared shitless on a "quick ride". For d2d use, I regret giving up the 2006 8.0L, AWD Denali with luxury int leather package.

If I had the money there's only one car that would be in my garage at that price: Pantera.

2006 Denali... are you in the right thread? :flipoff2:

Ha, I'm sorta white, older than Gary and have what some consider a shit load of money... I drive junk, 02 Crv ad 09 Ranger. I do have two hand built record holder vintage Triumph land speed race bikes , 79 Triumph 750, 96 Ducati 90M and a 61 BSA A10 650....

I think you mean a 6.0 AWD Denali. First there was no 8.0 engine. It is an 8.1. Second the 8.1 was only available in the 2500s which were not available with AWD. I think youre full of shit and you have no idea what an exotic is.
