So I got pulled into this thing now but it has been going on even before I was employed with this company.

Situation is a female employee has serious attitude problem. Is constantly rude, condescending, unprofessional to other employees. She is straight up toxic. Before I started at this place, she had gotten 2 people fired by starting shit and pissing them off to the point they called her a bitch and then she went and cried to HR. It's ongoing and everyone is sick of her shit but afraid to say anything because she basically has HR on speed dial. Aside from those 2 she got fired, she has filed complaints about multiple other people, same exact M.O. She comes at you with attitude and baits you into responding and then cries about your response.

Anyway I have been at this place about 9 months now and she started this same shit with me pretty much since week 1, and I could see the red flags waving from a mile away. For whatever reason she decided to use the company messaging app to send me all these rude, condescending and unprofessional messages so now it's all documented on multiple occasions.

So last week she dialed things up and tried throwing me under the bus over a minor paperwork thing. She sent messages to managers, foreman, and then sent me screenshot of her sending the screenshots to manager (did I mention red flags?). All that over basically just a typo and didnt really affect the outcome of anything. He didn't give me any grief over it but he asked to come in to correct it. No big deal, just change a 7 to a 4. Done.

So when I was in his office I mentioned the messages she had been sending me. His tone changed and was like 'you have it documented????' He asked me to take screenshots of the messages and send them to him to forward to her 'file' and mentioned that we have to cross our t's and dot the i's. He is sick of her shit too and he made it very clear to me to 'always take the high road'. Got it, read ya loud and clear. Then today she sends me more of the same shit.

Just be aware of these black widows out there. Don't let them draw you into a trap, dont let your emotions dictate your actions. Keep your head up and take the high road.

We had one when I was in the .mil that sent our shift through a MEO investigation after she kept coming in smelling like a shithouse door in a tuna boat
"Ohhh heehee I fried some halibut in my uniform"...
Uh, no, you stank!
Picture about 5ft 3 and 200lbs...sweats in a resting position.

Her supervisor gave her the wash your ass you nassty fuck speech and next day we're all getting interviewed and treated like we all gang banged her.

After that, no one wanted to work with her. Her supervisor got an Article 15, almost lost rank and a few others that had made comments about her rotting ass got paperwork.

She went back to MEO and filed another report claiming discrimination, etc.

She ended up getting booted a few months later after ripping the gate off the fence with a trailer of classified munitions, causing several million $$ damage, and hiding it, then blaming someone else. Was pretty much the excuse the commander needed to get rid of her.

I'm glad I work offshore internationally. I get a email asking if I'm available for work. If I say yes, I get a contract sent to me to sign, followed by airline tickets.
I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a good fit for any kind of office setting.

Same here, I'd be HR's worst nightmare. It would probably go something like this....

HR: "Why are you calling people fucktards?"

Me: "Uh, because they are."

HR: "You should take other people's feelings into consideration and think about what you say"

ME: "Well nobody was told to drink bleach and suckstart a shotgun so I think that I was being very considerate of their feelings"

HR: "Please leave and never come back"

Different, but same.

Factory full of thick skinned assholes.

Communication meeting- "You're worthless as fuck. If I ran this place, I'd fire your ass and shit in your lunchbox. You need to see if you can get some FMLA and start missing work regularly. The place runs better when you're not here."

Just goad her into doing it more and collecting more evidence. I would be making purposeful mistakes to get her to blow up on me, then document it. Just have to play the part of absent-minded employee.

to OP.

Document what your boss asks you to do as well.

You already have 1 strike against you as the problem is female. If the problem is a minority you have 2 strikes against you, especially if your company is DEI woke.

Given her history, you boss is trying to cover his ass as well, and in the end that could be throwing you under the bus as well.

Best of luck to you.

Sure sounds like you need to take a trip to HR Monday morning bright and early and show them the text messages and tell them how hurtful those messages were and how you are EXTREMELY uncomfortable being around someone like that. 😁

Two can play that game...

She is abusive and makes you feel unsafe, thats what you tell HR in writing. Easy as pie, she will implode if you keep steady pressure

This is the problem with "protected classes" in the workplace. It makes it really hard to get rid of problems and the problems absolutely know this and take full advantage of it. Just treat everyone equally. But some how the civil rights movement evolved into certain people being more equal than others.

I want nothing to do with her personally or professionally. I don't want to play any games and I don't want to deal with any HR shit. I don't want any of it. BUT she 'has created a toxic environment that makes me feel uncomfortable'.

Ignoring her texts seems to rile her up more, so next week should be interesting.

I don't want to disclose too much more than this is at a luxury brand car dealership and we work in the same department. So it is a professional environment, and increasingly more customer facing with video inspections and customer walk throughs. The shop has pretty thick skin but you have to act like an adult and bite your tongue with mixed company around.

This hr will have to investigate. If they don’t that could set them up for a lawsuit.

So investigate. As a male they're going to want to balk, but in the end they will have to believe you if you say you feel unsafe and that she's abusive. Stay clean and document everything including your coms with HR

I burned a bull dyke by doing that when I worked for the state of Calif. It went against every fiber of their being but in the end I had documented everything and left emotions out of it.

Not just protected classes. We’ve had 2 toxic white dudes we had to get rid of. It took way more effort to build the case against them than it should. Lost good employees because of them while all the paperwork was assembled. :shaking:

Their is an app to dl for voice operated record for phones, just syaing..:usa:

Like already stated take your time,no rush ? Keep the pressure on and damn man go back to HR and she's abusive and unsafe to be around. Poor attitude . That alone brings morale down in any business/ production and general attitude..<which in turn creates a loss on more than one thing going on ...
Shell collapse or implode.. people like that do so when what they think is their power had been stripped from them.

I'm not Hr at our work, however I have said to a cpl hands your no longer needed here.. they did go clock out (i assume) ,leave and didn't come back.. one even went and packed most of his tools..then proceeded to leave. That @$$hole thought it would be funny to blow me kisses on his way out the gate. He called owner crying about me / owner was like he's right we no longer need you... all his b.s was on camera ,he was clueless/useless... this particular guy was a faux mechanic....:usa:
