Got an email today from work giving an incentive to those with the jab. The last line of the email said that mandates were on the way. I'm 9 and and half years with my sheriff's dept and to be vested with the retirement program is 10. We'll see if I can make it just to get something. Vested means to me that they'll match what I put in and get a check fer the rest of my life.

Maybe it's the area I live in, but even the vaxxed people here are against mandates, which is good. IMO if big pharma CEOs having press conferences talking about unlimited boosters are leading to people waking up and telling them to fuck off is a great thing!! Blanket calling people who got the jab closed minded idiots (there are some of those) only turns them off when you start talking. People make decisions for various reasons, the only ones that should get shit for it are appeal to authority types, the gov told me so, people who get it because "I want to go to xyz country next year" or "I don't see the risk in it" are fine by me. All of 2020 did that. Hell we had paramilitary groups of state sponsored terrorists running around burning cities down, no one did shit and people only doubled down on their love of authority figures who also did nothing to stop it (thin blue line dip shits). The government went full authoritarian, no one did anything to stop it.
I personally did not. However at least 1 restaurant in Washington went full on fuck you and your closures Spiffy’s on I-5@Hwy12. He is closed now, chose to retire. But made the state kneel to most all of their bullshit. Had fully armed security, in full battle rattle, to tell the state to get fucked every time they showed up for months. Sheriffs department and WSP said, “So?” Not our jobs to enforce your proclamation.
This would have been beautiful to see, nationwide, little towns all over the US... businesses open with FAFO guards out front.
My favorite restaurant (local chain) was getting hammered by the mandate police. We went in there for breakfast on Black Friday and I paid attention to the signage on the door. It basically said we'll accept any and all excuses you have to not mask up in our establishment and our staff is not at liberty nor authorized to allow any .gov entity into our establishment. I love that place. 😁

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis, a Democrat, declared in a new interview that the COVID-19 emergency is "over" and that he won’t be implementing another statewide mask mandate in response to the spread of the omicron variant, explaining that if people aren’t vaccinated at this point it’s their "own darn fault" if they get sick.
"Everybody had more than enough opportunity to get vaccinated," Polis told Colorado Public Radio on Friday. "Hopefully it's been at your pharmacy, your grocery store, a bus near you, [or at] big events. At this point, if you haven't been vaccinated, it's really your own darn fault."

Rae's Cafe in Blue Springs MO tried but failed. They didn't go full armed security, but defied all Jackson County mask mandates. When they were forcibly closed the first time, they opened back up as a private club, charged club fees, and reopened. That too failed by judge mandate.
