Might not matter. I sold a 1 bedroom 2 bath condo that was a complete gut and needed new AC for 520k. I posted some of the pictures here when I got it.

I scraped poo off the bathroom floor with a spatula I found in the pile of garbage that literally covered the entire kitchen floor 1 to 3 feet deep.
 
I’ll stir the pot. Do you lose the other ~350k which is the rest of your half? That’s based on your words and what’s in the trust. Also is the house going to be in your name?

Either way good for you and glad you get to stay there.

We are still all making a bunch of assumptions from vague posts, but, some things have more value to one person than another. I don't think this was as much about the money as it was about being able to stay where he and his family have been.

Also sounds like there is a bit more that still needs to be resolved, but to PAE the biggest thing is that he doesn't have to move, and that has calmed him down immensely.

Also, as stated by many people here, the trust is going to dictate what happens, not his sister. That's the whole fucking point of a trust, PAE just couldn't get that through his thick skull:laughing:

PAE was suddenly put in a really bad spot with the arrival of an envelope in the mail…..
Real or “just in his head” doesn’t really matter …. To him it was real!!!!
I’m sure this has happened to some in here… until things are sorted out…. Things just keep spinning in your head and mostly the worst of what the possibilities could be!!!!

PAE said that anyone that gave him $$$ can expect to get it back…. He’s gotta figure out exactly how to make that happen….

Food for thought -

If (God forbid) you end up in a situation like this again and need advice:
  • Take a few deep breaths and calm down, try to clear your head
  • Take a few minutes and write down clearly what is known and unknown
    • Do not include assumptions or theories unless clearly stated as such
    • Just the facts, Jack!
  • State up front that you have cognitive issues
    • Without knowing that, it's easy to think you're jerking us around
Again, hopefully there won't be a next time. If there is, help us help you quickly by giving the relevant information and background right out of the gate.

I don't think there is anyone here that wanted things to go badly for you. I also don't think there is anyone here that isn't glad to hear that things are looking better for you now.

Yup agree. I go through 8-24hrs of freaking the fuck out/assuming the worst, then once I settle down I am good.

I sit back and laugh that people believe anything this guys says.

He can’t work cause he’s disabled, so he ask for 150k. Questions start arising that question his story and credibility and overnight, a situation that typically takes years to settle, is miraculously settled overnight.

Now he’s got job opportunities lined up doing manual labor in other states and is capable of working. :lmao::lmao:
