What's new

Thursday's Debate........................................

I can’t claim that, because even 4 years ago they were hiding him in his basement.
I don’t think he’s been right in a long time.
Oh, he was clearly in decline even then but go back and watch his debate performances then vs. now. He was clearly on the downslope even then but my god, there's just no comparison to what we all saw on Thursday night.

My grandfather was in great mental and physical shape until he got about Biden's age. The decline was steep and swift. He went from basically 2020 Biden to the grave within about a year. He didn't hit current Biden stage until he was within a month or two of his expiration date.

I know they're pumping him full of everything they've got but I honestly don't know if they can keep him alive through election day.
I just lost my grandpa early this year he had been truly suffering over the last few years from some type of dementia. He was mostly good natured simply retelling old stories but around sundown he would start to think he needed to go home. He didn’t recognize the house he had lived in for 50 years or my grandma ( he’d say you sure are a nice lady but I really need to get home to my wife) Trouble really started when he’d get in his F450 and start driving around at night.

All of that to say we had to hide keys from a man we loved and respected because an 8000lb truck being driven by someone who does not know who or where they are is a nightmare. The most powerful and influential country on earth needs at least as much presence of mind to operate as a pickup truck.

Very good point - On this subject. My father right when his cognitive decline started to hit hard drove his Toyota Corolla like a fucking madman. He even scared the shit out of me by speeding and racing through 25 mph neighborhoods and pulling out into traffic, cutting across lanes and with the wail of horns and screeching tires . . .. . . Anonymous tip got him a letter from the Ohio DMV for a mandatory driving test which he failed and had his Dl pulled. He would have killed someone, someone's daughter or wife driving home from work or something. Family attorney said we had deep coverage but our trust was at risk. Think about Biden or anyone in that frame of mind as POTUS.

My FIL I think has quit driving, couple months ago we went to Wally world, took him 5 minutes to get in and out of the car, he also has a truck with 5th wheel camper, last trip someone drove it home for him.
Almost got it between the lines.
He was doing good for an old guy until he fell and broke a hip,a shitty surgeon, infection, another surgery to fix the first one he had not been right since.

Thankfully my grandfather stopped driving on his own. Physical decline hit him before the mental decline. He really only significantly mentally declined in his final months.

One of my uncles was a master watchmaker, when he got Alzheimer's it was sad, I sat there talking to him for close to an hour, and he was all over the place, he kept pointing a picture of my cousin and saying that guy was supposed to come and help clean out his studio suddenly he looked at me and said when did you get here?

Maybe you should read it again. Because to alter or abolish and institute a new government will often require the advancement of the state. Which as everyone knows by now, you love to point out as being evil and bad.

And since we are connecting the dots how ever we see fit as to the other persons views, you strike me as the kinda fella that advocates for anarchy but wouldn’t last 10 minutes in such an environment.
"secession from a state is actually support of the state"

"anarchism is about supporting antisocial behavior because CNN told me it is"

That was basically my grandfather. He was a very high-power attorney in San Francisco and by the time I came around, he would ask my grand in the picture in the TV room is? “We should get that to that family.” that’s why I recognized the dementia four years ago and said it was cool for them to puppet him around.

My eye doctor was a good family friend. Brilliant man. Had multiple PhDs and founded a chain of eye surgery clinics. They say you don't realize when dementia starts creeping in but I think he did. It ran in his family. Once it started he just turned into a raging alcoholic. I mean, would just drink himself into a stupor everyday. He finally went into assisted living a couple years ago. We stayed in touch until he no longer knew who we were. Just brutal watching one of the smartest people you've ever known go through that.

Meanwhile, they're circling the wagons.

I despise Trump but this makes me strongly consider voting for him. This is just a level of gas lighting that can't be tolerated and makes you wonder why they are so desperate to prop this guy up.

I have seen this on every left leaning news source today. No way he makes it another 4. He’s gone.

I feel like they want Kamala and this is the only way to get her there.

Luckily he’s the most popular president in history. He is going to slay Trump! :stirthepot:

It makes me wonder why they are so desperate to prop him up while also being so desperate to keep Trump out. That's half the reason I'm voting for Trump this go-around. That and the 3 years of his first term weren't too bad, minus a few things already mentioned.

If they stick with Biden and this gas lighting I'll vote for Trump. If they sub him out I'll vote third party. I really don't like Trump and didn't think he was very effective as POTUS but their insistence on bald face lying to the public and wanting to prop up a Manchurian candidate... yeah, I'll use my vote to try to prevent that.

I typically vote libertarian in presidential elections, but even those guys are hitting the good stuff here lately, and not in a good way. I voted constitution party in 2016, but went for Trump in 2020 due to all the reeeeeee from the left. I don’t see a reason not to do the same this time around.

It was much the same with my uncle. He was aware he was losing it and turned full alcoholic. Also started smoking when he hadn't for 40 years. I think part of the drinking was he wouldn't remember that he'd just had a drink and would go for another. It took a bit for my aunt to recognize how much he was drinking. Actually had to put a breathalyzer in his car to keep him from driving drunk which lasted another year until he came home with the car smashed and no memory of what had happened and she realized how much of a danger he was to others. They lived a half hour from town down a dirt road so it was very isolating to not be able to drive.

Was anybody else bothered by both candidates saying they would rather be somewhere else? Trump would rather be at one of his resorts, Biden would rather be retired. The only reason that they’re running is because the other alternative is so bad. They both took a page from the same playbook.

At least Hillary wanted to be president :stirthepot:

But seriously, is it too much to ask for a president that wants to be president?
Trump didn’t want to watch Biden make a fool of himself, who wants to watch what they’re doing an old man with dementia put up there like that?

You don’t want vote for either candidate, I guess you’ll set this one out or vote for boot on the head guy?

You don't seem to understand, biden is not a popular candidate. He's a "popular alternative" while not himself being popular.
Sure, the party that buys votes… let’s pay off your college debt, etc etc

yes, this is another facet of voting on shit, universal franchise and all that horseshit

there's an endless throng of worthless eaters who want to rob those who have built a life for themselves and their families

I don’t think things will fair well with the Democommies if they follow through with their coup against Biden with someone else at this point. They’ll have to admit that Biden is a failure after pushing the opposite for so long.

This

Michelle has the BEST numbers of anyone in the party, by a large margin.

She just doesn't seem to want it.

(I don't think Trump can beat Michelle).

In a fair election, nobody can beat Trump. But I think Moochelle could bring the poll numbers close enough to cheat.

They are in a real pickle when it comes to ballot stuffing. There are only 160ish million registered voters. Let's say Trump gets 80 million which it a legitimate possibility. They will have to not only win without winning the popular vote, but they will have to do it with a limited number of voters, or resort to actually removing votes from Trump, and they will have to convince us that there was a 99% voter turnout. It's going to be hard to hide the steal.

Not saying it won't happen and nothing will come of it. But it's going to be obvious to a lot more people if they do.

Let’s hope.

Don’t think the boot is on the California ballot ever. I’d totally vote for him.
